MALFY ORIGINALE is crafted by Master Distillers, Beppe Ronco and Denis Muni, at the Torino Distillati distillery. It is located in Moncalieri, in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy. It is made using vacuum distillation, also known as cold distillation. This is a relatively new technique in the world of gin production, allowing evaporation at a lower temperature and thus not altering the composition of the botanicals (avoiding heat-related degradation), thereby keeping our botanicals fresh and flavorful. The carefully selected ingredients are separated into collections and distilled individually to highlight their flavors. The citrus botanicals are infused with alcohol and then pressed in a traditional basket press, this extract is then distilled along with fine Italian juniper. The individual distillates are then skillfully blended together to create a fruity gin with aromas of coriander, licorice, and citrus notes. The taste is dry - almost salty and can be enjoyed neat over ice or with tonic and a slice of lime.
