The Irix 11mm f/4 Blackstone is a wide-angle, fixed-focal-length lens for Nikon cameras with an F mount. Its optical design includes aspherical elements, high-refractive-index elements and extra-low-dispersion elements to reduce aberrations, distortion and chromatic aberrations. The Neutrino coating reduces reflections and ghosting, while manual focus features a locking mechanism to keep the focus position stable.

The aluminium-magnesium alloy housing features seals to protect against dust and moisture, as well as a scratch-resistant finish. The engraved focus-distance and depth-of-field scales use UV fluorescent paint. The lens has an integrated petal-shaped lens hood and accepts 30 x 30 mm rear gel filters.
