Elder Simon from a young age had his goal set on heaven and he was focused on this goal with admirable precision throughout his life. Having as his sole concern obedience to God's commandments and holy will, the spiritual legacies he left us are: repentance and confession, love and humility, prayer and patience, good thoughts and a spirit of sacrifice.

The struggle of the Christian is a struggle for virtue and truth. All the saints of our Church, confessors, martyrs, ascetics, all the saints, had humility as the primary foundation of their spiritual life. Thus, we also have as our model our eternal and unique Lord and we look forward to the perfection of our souls, having the cloud of the saints and martyrs of our church as human examples.
