When Penelope Delta published this second book of hers in 1910, it was believed that her characters symbolized political figures and that she connected the events of the narrative with her contemporary historical events. However, we can say with certainty that a century later—in our days—the book has not lost its timely character at all. The kingdom of the Fatalists described reminds us of the misfortunes and pitfalls of modern Greece. However, as happens in fairy tales, but sometimes also in reality, the son of the king of the Fatalists, the Prince, symbolizes the new person who envisions a better country, who struggles, who fights with determination and passion. And ultimately, he succeeds. The Tale Without a Name is a timeless book, mainly thanks to the values it expresses: ethics, dignity, combativeness.
