I bought two Dell DisplayPort male - HDMI female (492-BBXU) adapters to use with the Dell D6000 docking station and two 2K Dell monitors I own, with good quality HDMI cables. Previously, I was using an old €10 adapter and couldn't achieve a 2560x1440 resolution—it gave a much lower one. The HDMI that went directly to the dock worked fine, but the other DisplayPort ports didn't give the correct signal.
With these adapters, everything worked perfectly. I connected them to the DisplayPort ports of the dock and now both my monitors operate at full 2K resolution without any problem. Stable image, good performance, no flickering or tearing.
