General Information

Facing

Forward, Rear

Facing

This concerns the direction that the seat is facing. It can be either forward or backward. Additionally, some seats have the ability to rotate and have both directions.

Forward

The forward-facing seat is usually recommended for children over 2 years old or even earlier depending on the weight of the baby. 2. Forward-facing seats may be booster seats or may not have a belt as the car's belt is used.

Rear

The baby's first car seat should be strictly rear-facing. 2. Until the age of 2 or until the child exceeds the maximum weight allowed for the seat, the baby should face backwards, as the seat serves the correct posture that protects and supports the head, neck, and spine in the event of a collision.

Recline

Yes

Recline

The seat is properly adjusted to have a tilt. The recline helps prevent the child's head from leaning forward when sleeping.

Some models allow for adjustment of the recline when the child is already seated, while others require adjustment before placing the child in the seat.

It is not recommended for newborns as babies should not be lifted more than 30 degrees due to the potential risk of musculoskeletal problems.

Swivel

Swivel

The seat has the ability to make a full rotation (360 degrees) for a change of orientation and immediate access to the child.

2. The rotation capability offers comfort and flexibility to the parent as they have easy access to any orientation the seat has.

Technical Specifications

ADAC Test

Good

ADAC Test

ADAC is a company that conducts crash tests and evaluates car seats for safety, ergonomics, functionality, and the presence of harmful substances.

Good

The rating is based on the following Scale: (++) Very Good, (+) Good, (Ο) Satisfactory, (Θ) Enough, (-) Poor. The higher the rating, the safer the seat.

Swedish Plus Test

No

Swedish Plus Test

Considered the strictest crash test worldwide. It focuses on measuring the pressure exerted on the neck, imposing limits that only rear-facing seats can meet.

i-Size

Yes

i-Size

These are new generation seats that offer additional safety in case of side collision.

i-Size seats are designed according to the height, not the weight of the child, allowing them to travel rear-facing for a longer period of time.

i-Size seats do not replace weight-based car seats but offer an additional option. They are recommended for both newborns and older children.

Side Collision Protection

No

Side Collision Protection

An integrated system on the side of the seat that reduces the impact force of a side collision, protecting the child from serious injury.

Installation

ISOfix

Yes

ISOfix

It is a system for safely installing a child seat. To apply it, it is necessary for the rear seats of the car to have the corresponding metal receptacles, but all modern cars have them.

2. The isofix system is easier to install compared to seats that do not have it. The seat clicks into the car's receptacles and thus reduces the movement of the seat towards the front in the event of a collision.

3. Most seats that apply to all ages have the isofix system.

Seatbelt

No

Seatbelt

The car seat can be installed in the car using the vehicle's seat belt.
