The father, while writing his memoirs, as well as when he narrated them, relived those moments. I felt that joy he experienced during his storytelling, as well as his pride for certain happy events in which he participated, contributing a small stone for the sake of the "Fatherland," which was his great love.
I hope my father's history of his memories will pique the reader's interest as it spans a long historical period of the country, for which his testimony and opinions provide thorough information and shed light on many aspects. It is up to each reader's ability to draw their own conclusions on these matters.
It is rare in history to find a military man who, as he rose through the ranks of the military hierarchy, participated consistently in all the wars, like my father. And I believe that is where the interest lies: He took part in the Balkan Wars, World War I, the campaign in Ukraine, the Asia Minor campaign, and World War II, where he contributed to the Albanian Epic along with the Military Leadership and our Army.
As far as I know and can inform the reader, my father's memoirs are the only ones written by the protagonists, the Lieutenant Generals who commanded the Army of the Albanian Front and the subsequent events. I thank the reader who will read this work and wish to clarify that I considered it my duty to publish this as a memorial not only to my father but also to those who fell during the terrible battles referenced, which are part of our century's history.
