With great love and respect, we have attempted to undertake an almost radical revision of the teaching manual of the Pontic Dialect by the late V. Antoniadou-Kesidou. Without claiming to be infallible—no one is infallible, after all—we sought, despite the various and multiple challenges, to present a different picture of the teaching method of the Pontic Dialect, thereby providing a guide for Pontians and others who want to come into contact with our Dialect, which is closely and inseparably linked to the ancient Greek language.

The Pontic Dialect is a link, a facet of the unified and indivisible Greek language. We hope that with this effort, we will contribute to the reinforcement of the prophetic words of the late and esteemed philologist Iordanis Vambakidis: "the Pontic Dialect does not have the courage to die."
