The few surviving Mabden gather from the north, south, and west to fight under the orders of the Great King Amertjin and Prince Korum, in a final desperate battle against the Fuoi Miyor. However, both Amertjin and Korum know that their effort is doomed before it even begins.

Thus, Korum must seek new allies on the terrible Island of Shadows, where he will be forced to fight with old and new Men, and whatever the outcome, Korum deep down knows that his days in that world are numbered and the end, one way or another, will not be long in coming.
