The source writes, paints, Narcissus. However, writing and painting always reference the source and the matters of Narcissus. A book starting from Narcissus, who the theorist of Renaissance painting Alberti referred to as the "first inventor of painting." A book about the adventure of the eye, which is always the adventure of our soul, as reflected in the discourse of psychoanalysis, in the myth of Narcissus, Baubo, and Gorgo, and in the discourse of art about itself and the world.

The sequence between the scene of theater, painting, and psychological depth, and the interplay between poetic, painterly, and historical utopias of every form, are the two main parts in which the texts contained here are articulated.

However, the writing, which is painting but also writing in the modern sense, overflows and speaks to us about Narcissus and the source-painter who kills him and makes him immortal. And the writing of Pepi Rigopoulou in this book speaks to us about the romantic relationship between the represented and their image, seeking what connects and transcends them.
