Charilas Trikoupis was undoubtedly the greatest politician of our last century.

Father of Greek parliamentarism, proponent of the principle of declared confidence, founder of our democratic regime, he dominated Greek political life for 20 years, aiming, through the reorganization of the state, to bring Greece to European levels.

The first edition of this book was published in 1996 by the Association of Athenians. That year marked the 100th anniversary of Charilas Trikoupis's death, and the Association wanted to honor the memory of the great Mesolongitis politician with this publication.
