Through the Eurozone, Greece promotes its vital interests. The years 1996-2000 not only marked the beginning of a new chapter for the country's development and economic strengthening, but also represented a significant effort towards social justice.

The economic policy systematically aims for a fairer redistribution of income and wealth, while simultaneously seeking to leverage the comparative advantages of all regions of the country through decentralized development.

The struggle for the progress of the economy must continue and intensify. Complacency regarding the positive economic results of recent years would be a poor advisor. Vigilance is required so that Greece can move towards real economic and social convergence. This way, it will continually strengthen its presence and reputation in the international community.
