I have a 5.5-year-old neutered cat with urinary problems that have left him sensitive to urinary tract infections, but not to the point where he needs clinical food. I was using another food and decided to change it. After a very short adjustment period (about 3 days of mixing the two foods), he adapted to this one and eats it with great joy. I don't know if it's because of the food, but the urinary infections have stopped for the past two months and I've been using this food for about 3 months. I will continue to monitor it, but so far this is the only thing I've changed and I see a huge difference. He is lively and his fur is incredibly soft. I will definitely continue with it.

Cat (1.5 years) seems to like it. Very economical. But it is only in the future that I’ll know how good it is for urinary issues. So far, so good.

Nice food that my cats eat with pleasure.
Update 4 months later: The food is finished (10 Kg). The cats are well with seemingly good health. Only time will tell how worthwhile this particular food was.

I... I don't know why but my two elderly male kittens, one with urinary problems and the other with respiratory issues, elderly, don't... They looked at me with a face like "I have to eat this now, right?" Generally, however, they are very well-behaved and they do this with almost all foods because while they had health problems from infancy, they were very well-cared for. Now the problems have multiplied and they are forced to eat specific things. With other kittens that I gave it to for testing, it was really a feast. With mine, I honestly don't know what to do...

I consider Farmina an excellent food! The Matisse line is vfm. And with the salmon, the fur becomes silk!

To avoid misunderstanding, although some stores claim that especially the Neutered Salmon is suitable for sensitive urinary tracts, this does NOT apply to struvite stones as indicated on Farmina's own website (Sept 2024). For urinary issues, they only offer struvite products in the more expensive N&D line (prevention) as well as in the specialized VetLife line (dissolution/manage struvite recurrence). Perhaps they confused the PH Urinary control label, which is present in the entire budget Matisse line (Chicken+Rice, Chicken+Turkey, Salmon+Tuna, Neutered and not just in Neutered Salmon) and is not related to urinary issues.

Quality food and relatively affordable for salmon.
It does not create urinary stones in my cat and he loves the taste.

Excellent food for neutered cats, our cat eats it eagerly, his coat has improved, maintains his weight and is very economical for its quality!

I am completely satisfied with this food. The cats eat it happily, one of them is picky but he also likes it. The main thing is that they chew less, I can see it on the furniture and in their grooming. Of course, it's logical since it says it contains 32% salmon. I wish I had found it earlier.

Food of mediocre quality, very tasty but unfortunately it all goes to waste in the litter box!!! It doesn't satisfy, resulting in the cat constantly eating and then just defecating it. However, it may help when the cat is constipated.

At around 33 euros that I bought it, it is, in my opinion, a great choice if you consider the quantity you get for the money. The cat enjoys the food and eats it with a lot of appetite. I will return if any problem arises, although I don't think so.

My cats enjoy eating it and I am happy that I found food for neutered cats with Salmon in a large bag. Unfortunately, though, I can't find it in most physical and online stores.
