Description

Dry food from Farmina, suitable for puppies that need more energy for their proper development. It is also indicated for medium-sized breeds, that is, for dogs whose weight after adulthood ranges from 11 to 25 kg, but also for large breeds with a weight of 25 kg and above.

The food is low grain, meaning it has a low grain content.

  • Main Ingredient: Lamb
  • Packaging: 12kg

Features

  • Lamb is rich in essential amino acids and is a very good source of fat, which helps maintain energy levels. In addition, it contains vitamins and minerals that support muscle development and the health of skin and coat. Finally, it can be a better choice of animal protein for dogs with dietary sensitivities, as it is "lighter" than chicken or beef.
  • Blueberry is rich in antioxidant vitamins A, C, E, and beta-carotene, sugars, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, inorganic acids, mineral salts, pectin, and dietary fiber, thus acting as a protective shield for the body.
  • Spelt is a good source of B vitamins, minerals, and soluble natural fibers, making it easily digestible. It helps activate metabolism and has antibacterial properties that strengthen the immune system.

Nutrition Guide

Every dog is different and the amount of food provided may vary depending on its age and lifestyle. Use the recommended dose as a guide, monitor its weight, and adjust the quantities accordingly. Feed your dog twice a day, always providing fresh, clean water next to it.

I present the details for my choice based on what I read:
    1) Grain-free foods have been linked to heart diseases through studies by the American Kennel Club (AKC.org). It's still early, but it's an indication. This specific one has few grains, which I want.
    2) Taurine helps strengthen the heart in dogs (again, mentioned by the American Kennel Club). This specific one has added taurine 1000mg/100g.
    3) Lamb is tasty and nutritious, and this specific one doesn't smell bad at all.
    4) It has 35% protein, and for a golden retriever, although not small-sized, I don't think it will have any problem. Besides, with plenty of water, it will be fine.
    5) Farmina has fantastic reviews from hundreds of customers.
    6) I feed it in 3 portions with a little water soaked in the bowl, and I have no complaints about fur or feces (golden retriever). The kibble size is relatively small, like a large lentil.
    7) Very good price as I consider it on par with Royal Canin. Not as expensive as Orijen, but due to the lack of grains in Orijen, I don't know if I will ever go there, even if they become cheaper
