I took the first one out of its box and put it in the NAS. I have the second one as an external backup for the NAS, with a smart plug that only turns on when it's time to take a backup and then turns off. So far, I have no complaints. The disk inside it is 5400rpm, which doesn't make it fast, but for backup and archiving at €125/piece, which I got on offer, it's great!

I regret getting it. It is tragically slow. At first, it reaches around 72Mb/sec, but as it progresses, its speed drops to 55mb/sec. It's incredibly slow for an 8TB drive. For the same price, it's better to get the Seagate Backup Plus Hub, which is faster. I'm very concerned about its power supply, which is only 1.5Amp. It's too little for an 8TB disk. Stay away!

EDIT: Purchased in March 2019, today in October 2021, it gave up! The warranty for the drive is 2 years, which means this model was truly a waste of money.

I bought it 9 months ago. Today it simply died.
    Far away!
