The individual sections clarify the concept and the basic systems of regional planning, describing its evolution in Greece and the European Union.

The framework of application and the structure of development plans and programs are presented, in accordance with the current regulations of the European Union.

Subsequently, the framework and the bodies of regional planning in Greece are presented, as well as the system of organization, management of planning, and evaluation of programs.

The regional development strategy of our country is described, and the content and main developmental goals of the regional development programs are outlined.

Finally, the future trends and expected changes in the regional planning of our country are presented, which are expected to be shaped by developmental developments, in combination with the expansion of the Union.
