Description & Specifications

“The inspector, however, came from Catania, and his name was Salvo Montalbano, and when he wanted to understand something, he understood it.” This ability for “perception” stems from the deep dedication Montalbano feels for his homeland, from his intuition, and is far removed from the way police hounds usually solve cases. It is also, on the other hand, unrelated to the usual “understanding” shown by the most philanthropic detectives.

On the contrary, for Montalbano - known for his laconic sarcasm - discovering the motive for the murder is “the most boring part” of the police reconstruction of the case. As for the murderer, he shows no signs of understanding for him.

“The Voice of the Violin” tells the story of a murdered young woman, a great musician who lives as a hermit, and many others. It is, above all, a story of changes, and Montalbano himself, whose personal life is undergoing developments, must decide whether to change his life.
