A remarkably powerful rod from Daiwa despite being only €48. I have had it for 3 years. It has caught many fish, especially large ones. I fish with it spinning using heavy poppers (40-50GR) for bass. The rod has landed fish weighing 7kg, 6kg, 5kg, etc. It doesn't back down; it has incredible strength. I have a Daiwa Laguna 3000 reel on it to reduce overall weight. This particular rod is relatively heavy for spinning; actually, it is heavy for working with minnows. For the job I do (popping), it is just right. My opinion is that this rod is not suitable for lures under 25GR. I have also used it for shore jigging (before I bought shore equipment) with a 60g lure. It doesn't back down. It even caught a big fish on the shore. Also, the rod is stiff, so keep that in mind; that's why I use it for popping. It casts 60-80 meters and pops with zero effort.
