The Center for Greek Language, as part of its various educational and publishing activities, has published a two-volume critical study of a significant number of Greek language learning books for second/foreign language learners that have been released in Greece and abroad over the past twenty years. This initiative has contributed to the creation of a useful Information Bank with data regarding the teaching and visual material in this specific field, while also recording chronologically the evolution of these authors' efforts.
This edition is a continuation of that initial attempt to document, examine, and analyze similar textbooks, as it was deemed necessary to complete the study with a critical analysis of those textbooks that had not been previously reviewed. Of course, this catalog should not be considered exhaustive, as new textbooks are constantly being published and circulated in the international market. Many of the textbooks presented in this volume have been released in the past six to seven years, making them the most recent among those circulating in both Greece and abroad.
