Initially, I was using the TP-LINK TL-WN725N v3 on a 24Mbps connection. Upgrading to a vdsl 100Mbps, I also upgraded the USB wifi stick to this one. My experience is excellent with both the old one and the TP-LINK Archer T3U v1. I have no complaints and both worked plug and play on Windows 10. No need for special settings or changing ports on the sticks, etc. Some things worth mentioning are as follows. This particular one can connect to both networks provided by the vdsl modem. However, you should know that on the 2.4GHz network, you will have stable speeds but significantly lower speeds than on the 5GHz network. On the 5GHz network, you will likely have higher speeds (assuming there are no obstacles between the stick and the modem), but the speeds will fluctuate. Here, let me clarify that when I say fluctuate, I do not mean disconnections. I did not have/have any disconnections with either of the two products until now. I highly recommend it, although for those willing to spend more money, I would suggest looking into a powerline passthrough like the TP-LINK PA7017P Kit v4 and overall simplify things. Αρχικά χρησιμοποιούσα το TP-LINK TL-WN725N v3 σε γραμμή 24αρα. Αναβαθμίζοντας σε vdsl 100αρα αναβάθμισα και το usb wifi stick σε αυτό.
Η εμπειρία μου ειναι άριστη τόσο με το παλιό, όσο και με το TP-LINK Archer T3U v1.
Δεν έχω παράπονα και τα δύο δούλεψαν plug and play σε window 10. Χωρίς να χρειαστεί να κάνω ειδικές ρυθμίσεις, ή να αλλαξω θύρες στα στικάκια κτλ.
Κάποια πράγματα που αξίζει να επισημανθούν ειναι τα εξής.
Το συγκεκριμένο μπορει να συνδεθεί και με τα δυο δίκτυα που εμφρανίζει το vdsl μοντεμ. Ωστόσο θα πρέπει να γνωρίζετε πως στο δίκτυο των 2,4ghz θα έχετε σταθερές ταχύτητες αλλα σημαντικά χαμηλότερες ταχύτηες απο αυτές που θα έχετε στα 5ghz.
Στα 5ghz θα έχετε πιθάνοτατα υψηλότερες ταχύτητες (με την προυπόθεση πως δεν παρεμβάλουν εμπόδια μεταξύ του στικ και του μόντεμ) αλλα οι ταχύτητες θα έχουν διακυμάνσεις. Εδω να ξεκαθαρίσω πως αναφέρομαι σε διακυμάνσεις, δεν αναφέρω αποσυνδέσεις. Δεν είχα/έχω αποσυνδέσεις, με κανένα απο τα δύο προιόντα εως σήμερα.
Το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα, αν και για όσους είναι διατεθιμένοι να ξόδεψουν παραπάνω χρήματα θα πρότεινα να κοιτάξουν κάποιο powerline passthrough όπως το TP-LINK PA7017P Kit v4 και να ξεμπερδεύουν γενικότερα.
After the first week (and without any changes to the setup), disconnections started. The router is at a distance of 3 meters, without obstacles! The disconnections continue regardless of which USB port is connected.

it is the worst. every tp link adapter I have bought always loses signal even if the router is in the same room, other times it just doesn't connect for no reason. just never buy it!!

I had previously bought a TP-Link adapter, worse indeed, but it lasted much longer compared to this one, which keeps disconnecting for no reason. I'm not saying I have bad internet, I have a 50 Mbps line and quite a few obstacles around the PC, but there were times when it worked perfectly and other times when the disconnections wouldn't stop no matter what I did. When I started using mobile data and saw somewhat better performance, I felt a bit relieved, but it didn't take long before it disconnected again. I consider it useless and pointless, especially for its price.
Είχα ξανά παρει tp link adapter χειρότερο νε μεν αλλά μου κράτησε πολύ παραπάνω καιρό σε αντίθεση με αυτό το οποίο όλη την ώρα τρώει αποσυνδέσεις για κανέναν λόγο. Δεν λέω έχω κακό ίντερνετ, 50ρα γραμμή και αρκετά εμπόδια γύρω από το pc αλλά υπήρχαν φορές που δούλευε άψογα και άλλες που δεν σταματούσαν οι αποσυνδέσεις με ότι και να έκανα. Όταν άρχισα να παίζω με δεδομένα και είδα κάπως καλύτερη δουλειά τότε ησύχασα λίγο αλλά δεν άργησε για να ξαναφάει αποσύνδεση. Θεωρώ πως είναι άχρηστο και ανούσιο ειδικά για την τιμή του.
USELESS do not buy it for any reason, I don't understand why they don't withdraw it. Incredibly bad product! I tried every possible setting from router, extender, PC and all I managed to do was to keep reducing the speed more and more for supposed stability, but it just disconnected a little less. Mercusys MERMA72XH Wireless USB Network Adapter 574Mbps. I got this one and I don't lose speed and I never have disconnections.

Προσπαθησα καθε δυνατη ρυθμιση απο ρουτερ extender PC και το μονο που καταφερνα ειναι να μειωνω ολο και πιο πολυ την ταχυτητα για δηθεν σταθεροτητα αλλα αυτο απλα αποσυνδεοταν λιγο λιγοτερο. Mercusys MERMA72XH Ασύρματος USB Αντάπτορας Δικτύου 574Mbps. Πηρα αυτο και ουτε σε ταχυτητα χανω και δεν εχω ποτε αποσυνδεσεις.
I let Windows download drivers and unfortunately I had quite a few disconnections. However, after downloading the drivers from the TP-Link site, the disconnections literally dropped to zero and it has been working perfectly for about a year and a half now.

on windows it works immediately and has stable speed with 5Ghz, on ubuntu you need to follow the driver process found on the tp-link forum, after that it works perfectly

24/06/2025: It is 5th generation and does its job well.
I got it because I installed 5G internet at home and the router is WiFi 6. The internal antenna of our laptop messed things up, as it is not compatible with WiFi 6. With this external antenna, the problem was solved.

Το προμηθεύτηκα καθώς έβαλα στο σπίτι ίντερνετ μέσω 5G και το router είναι WiFi 6. Η εσωτερική κεραία του laptop μας τα έκανε θάλασσα, καθώς δεν είναι συμβατή με το WiFi 6. Με αυτή την εξωτερική κεραία λύθηκε το πρόβλημα.

It didn't work from the first moment, I installed the drivers correctly according to the instructions.. disconnections start from the first time and with every restart it doesn't work unless the drivers are reinstalled, then it picks up a signal and the disconnections start again. (Windows 11). I believe things like this should be plug and play and not involve you with drivers, etc.

After 3 weeks of troubleshooting, I couldn't get it to work smoothly.
I do not recommend it as some days it just decides to disconnect every 5 minutes for no reason. Having tried 3 different drivers from "solutions" on the TP-Link site, it does not work properly.
Do not buy it if you are using it for online gaming.
Μετά από 3 εβδομάδες troubleshooting, δεν κατάφερα να το κάνω να δουλέψει απροβλημάτιστα.
Δε το συστήνω καθώς κάποιες ημέρες απλά αποφασίζει να αποσυνδέεται κάθε 5 λεπτά, χωρίς λόγο. Έχοντας δοκιμάσει 3 διαφορετικά drivers από "solutions" στο site της TP-Link, δε δουλεύει σωστά.
Μη το αγοράσετε αν κάνετε χρήση για online gaming.
Frequent disconnections, drops in speed for no reason, sometimes it connects to 2.4 by itself resulting in the speed being limited to 150Mbps (sometimes even 100) regardless of what connection you have (it's impressive how many deficiencies arise in general once connections exceed the psychological threshold of 100Mbps)
So far I haven't found a way to get rid of these drawbacks, the drivers haven't been updated since 2019 (I'm writing at the end of 2024)
Definitely not the brightest moment for TP-Link which has provided exceptionally noteworthy examples in the field of networking.
Συχνές αποσυνδέσεις, πτώσεις ταχύτητας άνευ λόγου, μερικές φορές συνδέεται στα 2,4 από μόνο του με αποτέλεσμα η ταχύτητα να περιορίζεται στα 150Μbps (ενίοτε και στα 100) ανεξάρτητα από το τι σύνδεση έχετε (είναι εντυπωσιακό πόσες ανεπάρκειες προκύπτουν γενικά μόλις οι συνδέσεις περάσουν το ψυχολογικό όριο των 100Mbps)
Μέχρι στιγμής δεν έχω βρει τρόπο να απαλλαγώ από τα μειονεκτήματα αυτά, οι drivers δεν έχουν ενημερωθεί από το 2019 (γράφω τέλη του 2024)
Σίγουρα όχι η πιο λαμπρή στιγμή της TP-Link η οποία έχει δώσει εξαιρετικά αξιόλογα δείγματα στο θέμα της δικτύωσης.

Really far from this particular model. Every now and then it disconnects in an annoying way. From what I see, it is this particular model that has this issue so it must be defective but you can't keep selling it.

Whether with plug & play or with prior installation of drivers, it has frequent disconnections and lag spikes. The last driver update was in 2019, so it is probably not expected to be fixed in terms of software. Personally, I plan to return it.

I got two to put on two adjacent computers. The installation, although it seems easy, is not as after the successful installation of the drivers, even though it finds the wifi, it tries to connect and gives many times the message unable to connect to network. Πήρα δύο για να βάλω σε δύο διπλανούς υπολογιστές. Η εγκατάσταση αν και φαντάζει εύκολη δεν είναι καθώς μετά την επιτυχή εγκατάσταση των οδηγών μετά αν και βρίσκει το wifi παέι να συνδεθεί και βγάζει πολλές φορές μήνυμα unable to connect to network. Μετά απο restart και συνέχεια προσπαθειών κάποια στιγμή συνδέεται και όλα καλά. Φουλ ταχύητητα κτλ. Μέχρι που στον ένα υπολογιστή μετά από 3 εβδομάδες το ένα stickάκι νέκρωσε εντελώς. Ούτε το pc το βρίσκει (το δοκίμασα και στον άλλον υπολογιστή ούτε εκέι δούλευε), οπότε μιλάμε για ελλατωματικλη συσκευή. Κρίμα και την είχα σε υπόληψη.

I installed it on an old computer (10-year-old hardware, with a new SSD) with Windows 10. It immediately found the 2.4G and 5G networks. It has connected without any problems, it doesn't disconnect or anything. It reaches almost 200mbps download and 20mbps upload (almost as much as the LAN). It is perfect for video streaming and movies, nothing lags anymore.
Το εβαλα σε παλιο υπολογιστη (hardware 10ετιας, με νέο SSD) με windows 10. Βρηκε 2,4G και 5G αμεσα. Εχει συνδεθει χωρις κανενα προβλημα, ουτε αποσυνδεσεις κανει ουτε τιποτα. Πιανει σχεδον 200mbps download και 20mbps upload (σχεδον οσο και το λαν δηλαδη). Για video streaming και ταινιες ειναι τέλειο, δεν μου κολλαει τιποτα πια.
Having read several reviews about this product as well as similar products, I draw some conclusions:
1. It is always necessary to install the drivers first, otherwise there is a high chance that the product will not perform as it should.
2. In my case, using a Vodafone Power Station 6 as a router, I had to make a change as shown in the 2 images. The adapter does not support the 160 MHz bandwidth, so when used by this router, the adapter could not find the network. For this reason, many complain that the adapter does not recognize the network (either because they never bothered to install the drivers). The solution to this seems to be shown in the other image, where I changed the bandwidth on my router to 20/40/80 MHz - yes, I know, not ideal, and that's why I give it 4/5 stars.
3. Its speed and range are absolutely satisfactory for me. With a 100 Mbps FTTH connection and a wall in between, I get 100 Mbps on the computer I use it with.
4. For its price, it is worth the money. Its size is also very convenient.
5. So far, I have not noticed any disconnections or freezes. Personally, I use it on a desktop computer.
Έχοντας διαβάσει αρκετές αξιολογήσεις, σχετικά με το προϊόν αυτό αλλά και αντίστοιχα προϊόντα, αφήνω κάποια συμπεράσματα:
1. Πάντα πρέπει πρώτα να γίνεται εγκατάσταση των drivers, σε διαφορετική περίπτωση το προϊόν υπάρχει μεγάλη πιθανότητα να μην συμπεριφέρεται όπως πρέπει.
2. Στη δική μου περίπτωση που χρησιμοποιώ ένα Vodafone Power Station 6 ως ρούτερ, έπρεπε να κάνω μια αλλαγή όπως φαίνεται και στις 2 εικόνες. Ο αντάπτορας δεν υποστηρίζει την εύρος ζώνης 160 MHz, οπότε όταν χρησιμοποιούταν από το ρούτερ αυτό το εύρος ο αντάπτορας δεν έβρισκε το δίκτυο. Για αυτό τον λόγο πολλοί διαμαρτύρονται ότι δεν αναγνωρίζει ο αντάπτορας το δίκτυο (είτε επειδή δεν μπήκαν ποτέ στον κόπο να βάλουν drivers). Η λύση σε αυτό φαίνεται στην άλλη εικόνα, όπου εγώ στο ρούτερ μου άλλαξα το εύρος ζώνης στα 20/40/80 MHz - ναι ξέρω, όχι ιδανικό, και αυτός είναι και ο λόγος που του βάζω 4/5 αστέρια.
3. Η ταχύτητά του και η εμβέλειά του είναι απολύτως ικανοποιητική για εμένα, με 100άρα FTTH και τοίχο στο ενδιάμεσο, πιάνω 100 και στον υπολογιστή που το χρησιμοποιώ.
4. Για την τιμή του, αξίζει τα χρήματα. Πολύ βολικό επίσης το μέγεθός του

It does not even recognize the 5ghz from the router's dual band, only the 2.4 and at a distance of 4 meters from the 230 wireless that I get with my mobile, it reaches only 13-20mbps. Δεν αναγνωριζει καν την 5ghz απο το dual band του router, μονο το 2.4 και σε αποσταση 4μετρων απο 230 ασυρματη που πιανω με το κινητο,αυτο πιανει 13-20mbps..Κριμα, δωστε λιγα χρηματα παραπανω και παρτε κατι αλλο,δεν ειναι καν vfm οπως νομιζα αλλα πεταμενα λεφτα
2 stars because it didn't immediately display the 5G network of my router while it displayed others and while I was connected to 5G on my mobile. After numerous tests and adjustments to the router, I ended up breaking everything and being left without internet after disabling the 2.4 network. I turned off and on the router again and everything is fine.

Τα 2 αστέρια επειδη δεν μου εμφανισε αμεσως το 5G δικτυο του ρουτερ μου ενω αλλα τα εμφανιζε και ενω με το 5G ημουν συνδεδεμένος στο κινητο.
Τελικα μετά από απειρες δοκιμες και ρυθμισεις στο ρουτερ, αφου τα χάλασα όλα και εμεινα χωρις ιντερνετ αφου απενεργοποιησα το δικτυο 2,4. εσβησα και ξαναάναψα το ρουτερ και ολα καλα.

ΤΕΛΙΚΑ ενα αστερι γιατί δεν μου εμφανίζει το 5g δικτυο του ρούτερ ενω εμφανίζει γειτονικά δίκτυα και ενώ είμαι συνδεδεμένος με το 5g στο κινητό. Πρέπει να διαθέσω χρόνο για να κάνω επανεκκίνηση το ρούτερ κάθε φορά.

I have had fiber optic internet (100 Mbps) at home since yesterday, and the measurements on my children's 2 mobile phones and their 2 modern gaming laptops were 102 Mbps!
However, not for my excellent but ancient Toshiba A665-11T laptop (model from 2011 with Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 740 @ 1.73GHz and 8.00 GB RAM), which couldn't synchronize above... 42 Mbps (measurement with ALL other devices closed and only one Google Chrome tab open, from where I took the measurement).
I bought the TP-LINK Archer T3U AC1300 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter and downloaded the driver for Windows 11 from https://www.tp-link.com/gr/support/download/archer-t3u/v1/#Driver (yes, you noticed correctly, the old A665 runs Windows 11 wonderfully, even though I got it with Windows 7, don't listen to what Microsoft says).
Immediately after, I set up another Wi-Fi network, which I configured to only transmit at 5 GHz.
Result: With 4 mobile phones and 2 laptops simultaneously connected to the same network (with 58 open Google Chrome tabs on mine) and also a PlayStation 4... in full action, my Toshiba transformed and synchronized at a crazy speed of... 100.23 Mbps! (see speedtest photo).
As for signal interruptions, which some people mention, I haven't had a single one in the 6 hours that I have been using the adapter.
Now that's a (cheap) laptop upgrade! Well done TP-LINK!
Έχω από χθες στο σπίτι internet οπτικών ινών (fiber 100 Mbps) και οι μετρήσεις στα 2 κινητά των γιών μου και στα 2 σύγχρονα gaming laptop τους, ήταν 102 Mbps!
OXI, όμως, και για το δικό μου εξαιρετικό, αλλά πανάρχαιο laptop Toshiba A665-11T (μοντέλο του 2011 με Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 740 @ 1.73GHz και 8,00 GB RAM), που δεν κατάφερνε να συγχρονίσει πάνω από… 42 Mbps (μέτρηση με ΟΛΕΣ τις άλλες συσκευές κλειστές και μία μόνο καρτέλα του Google Chrome ανοικτή, από όπου έκανα την μέτρηση).
Αγόρασα το Archer T3U AC1300 Ασύρματο Dual Band USB Adapter της TP-LINK και κατέβασα από το https://www.tp-link.com/gr/support/download/archer-t3u/v1/#Driver τον driver για Windows 11 (ναι, σωστά παρατηρήσατε, τα Windows 11 τα τρέχει θαυμάσια το παλιό Α665, που το πήρα με Windows 7, μην ακούτε τι λέει η Microsoft).
Αμέσως μετά, έφτιαξα ένα ακόμη Wi-Fi δίκτυο, που το ρύθμισα να εκπέμπει ΜΟΝΟ στα 5 GHz.
Αποτέλεσμα: Με 4 κινητά και 2 laptop ταυτόχρονα συνδεδεμένα στο ίδιο δίκτυο (με 58 ανοικτές καρτέλες Google Chrome στο δικό μου) και, επίσης, ένα Play Station 4... σε full δράση, το Toshiba μου μεταμορφωμένο συγχρόνιζε σαν τρελό στα... 100,23 Mbps! (βλέπε photo του speedtest).
Όσο για διακοπές σήματος, που αναφέρουν κάποιοι, δεν έχω ούτε μία, εδώ και 6 h που λειτουργώ τον adapter.
Αυτό κι αν είναι (πάμφθηνη) αναβάθμιση laptop! Μπράβο TP-LINK!

It had a tendency to always connect to 2.4 and only after some settings I managed to make it connect to 5. It was basically a temporary solution. Unfortunately, the frequent disconnections it makes on its own as a device result in internet browsing being an endless nerve-wracking experience.

I had the same problem with disconnections until it became very annoying, but with the update I did, the problem was fixed and I haven't experienced any disconnections again. The speed is excellent.

I had previously bought a TP-Link adapter, worse indeed, but it lasted much longer compared to this one, which keeps disconnecting for no reason. I'm not saying I have bad internet, I have a 50 Mbps line and quite a few obstacles around the PC, but there were times when it worked perfectly and other times when the disconnections wouldn't stop no matter what I did. When I started using mobile data and saw somewhat better performance, I felt a bit relieved, but it didn't take long before it disconnected again. I consider it useless and pointless, especially for its price.

Initially, I was using the TP-LINK TL-WN725N v3 on a 24Mbps connection. Upgrading to a vdsl 100Mbps, I also upgraded the USB wifi stick to this one. My experience is excellent with both the old one and the TP-LINK Archer T3U v1. I have no complaints and both worked plug and play on Windows 10. No need for special settings or changing ports on the sticks, etc. Some things worth mentioning are as follows. This particular one can connect to both networks provided by the vdsl modem. However, you should know that on the 2.4GHz network, you will have stable speeds but significantly lower speeds than on the 5GHz network. On the 5GHz network, you will likely have higher speeds (assuming there are no obstacles between the stick and the modem), but the speeds will fluctuate. Here, let me clarify that when I say fluctuate, I do not mean disconnections. I did not have/have any disconnections with either of the two products until now. I highly recommend it, although for those willing to spend more money, I would suggest looking into a powerline passthrough like the TP-LINK PA7017P Kit v4 and overall simplify things. Αρχικά χρησιμοποιούσα το TP-LINK TL-WN725N v3 σε γραμμή 24αρα. Αναβαθμίζοντας σε vdsl 100αρα αναβάθμισα και το usb wifi stick σε αυτό.
Η εμπειρία μου ειναι άριστη τόσο με το παλιό, όσο και με το TP-LINK Archer T3U v1.
Δεν έχω παράπονα και τα δύο δούλεψαν plug and play σε window 10. Χωρίς να χρειαστεί να κάνω ειδικές ρυθμίσεις, ή να αλλαξω θύρες στα στικάκια κτλ.
Κάποια πράγματα που αξίζει να επισημανθούν ειναι τα εξής.
Το συγκεκριμένο μπορει να συνδεθεί και με τα δυο δίκτυα που εμφρανίζει το vdsl μοντεμ. Ωστόσο θα πρέπει να γνωρίζετε πως στο δίκτυο των 2,4ghz θα έχετε σταθερές ταχύτητες αλλα σημαντικά χαμηλότερες ταχύτηες απο αυτές που θα έχετε στα 5ghz.
Στα 5ghz θα έχετε πιθάνοτατα υψηλότερες ταχύτητες (με την προυπόθεση πως δεν παρεμβάλουν εμπόδια μεταξύ του στικ και του μόντεμ) αλλα οι ταχύτητες θα έχουν διακυμάνσεις. Εδω να ξεκαθαρίσω πως αναφέρομαι σε διακυμάνσεις, δεν αναφέρω αποσυνδέσεις. Δεν είχα/έχω αποσυνδέσεις, με κανένα απο τα δύο προιόντα εως σήμερα.
Το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα, αν και για όσους είναι διατεθιμένοι να ξόδεψουν παραπάνω χρήματα θα πρότεινα να κοιτάξουν κάποιο powerline passthrough όπως το TP-LINK PA7017P Kit v4 και να ξεμπερδεύουν γενικότερα.
After the first week (and without any changes to the setup), disconnections started. The router is at a distance of 3 meters, without obstacles! The disconnections continue regardless of which USB port is connected.

I let Windows download drivers and unfortunately I had quite a few disconnections. However, after downloading the drivers from the TP-Link site, the disconnections literally dropped to zero and it has been working perfectly for about a year and a half now.

on windows it works immediately and has stable speed with 5Ghz, on ubuntu you need to follow the driver process found on the tp-link forum, after that it works perfectly

24/06/2025: It is 5th generation and does its job well.
I got it because I installed 5G internet at home and the router is WiFi 6. The internal antenna of our laptop messed things up, as it is not compatible with WiFi 6. With this external antenna, the problem was solved.

Το προμηθεύτηκα καθώς έβαλα στο σπίτι ίντερνετ μέσω 5G και το router είναι WiFi 6. Η εσωτερική κεραία του laptop μας τα έκανε θάλασσα, καθώς δεν είναι συμβατή με το WiFi 6. Με αυτή την εξωτερική κεραία λύθηκε το πρόβλημα.
04/11/2025: Δυστυχώς άρχισε να κάνει αποσυνδέσεις...
It didn't work from the first moment, I installed the drivers correctly according to the instructions.. disconnections start from the first time and with every restart it doesn't work unless the drivers are reinstalled, then it picks up a signal and the disconnections start again. (Windows 11). I believe things like this should be plug and play and not involve you with drivers, etc.
δεν δουλεψε απο την πρωτη στιγμη, εγκατεστησα σωστα τους drivers συμφωνα με τις οδηγιες.. ξεκινανε απο την πρωτη φορα οι αποσυνδεσεις και σε καθε ρισταρτ δεν δουλευει αν δεν ξαναεγκατασταθουν οι ντραιβερς, τοτε πιανει σημα και ξαναρχιζουν ομως οι αποσυνδεσεις. (windows 11). πιστευω κατι τετοια θα επρεπε να ειναι plug n play και να μην σε μπλεκουν με ντραιβερσ κλπ.

After 3 weeks of troubleshooting, I couldn't get it to work smoothly.
I do not recommend it as some days it just decides to disconnect every 5 minutes for no reason. Having tried 3 different drivers from "solutions" on the TP-Link site, it does not work properly.
Do not buy it if you are using it for online gaming.

Δε το συστήνω καθώς κάποιες ημέρες απλά αποφασίζει να αποσυνδέεται κάθε 5 λεπτά, χωρίς λόγο. Έχοντας δοκιμάσει 3 διαφορετικά drivers από "solutions" στο site της TP-Link, δε δουλεύει σωστά.
Μη το αγοράσετε αν κάνετε χρήση για online gaming.
Frequent disconnections, drops in speed for no reason, sometimes it connects to 2.4 by itself resulting in the speed being limited to 150Mbps (sometimes even 100) regardless of what connection you have (it's impressive how many deficiencies arise in general once connections exceed the psychological threshold of 100Mbps)
So far I haven't found a way to get rid of these drawbacks, the drivers haven't been updated since 2019 (I'm writing at the end of 2024)
Definitely not the brightest moment for TP-Link which has provided exceptionally noteworthy examples in the field of networking.

Really far from this particular model. Every now and then it disconnects in an annoying way. From what I see, it is this particular model that has this issue so it must be defective but you can't keep selling it.

Whether with plug & play or with prior installation of drivers, it has frequent disconnections and lag spikes. The last driver update was in 2019, so it is probably not expected to be fixed in terms of software. Personally, I plan to return it.

I got two to put on two adjacent computers. Πήρα δύο για να βάλω σε δύο διπλανούς υπολογιστές. Η εγκατάσταση αν και φαντάζει εύκολη δεν είναι καθώς μετά την επιτυχή εγκατάσταση των οδηγών μετά αν και βρίσκει το wifi παέι να συνδεθεί και βγάζει πολλές φορές μήνυμα unable to connect to network. Μετά απο restart και συνέχεια προσπαθειών κάποια στιγμή συνδέεται και όλα καλά. Φουλ ταχύητητα κτλ. Μέχρι που στον ένα υπολογιστή μετά από 3 εβδομάδες το ένα stickάκι νέκρωσε εντελώς. Ούτε το pc το βρίσκει (το δοκίμασα και στον άλλον υπολογιστή ούτε εκέι δούλευε), οπότε μιλάμε για ελλατωματικλη συσκευή. Κρίμα και την είχα σε υπόληψη.

I installed it on an old computer (10-year-old hardware, with a new SSD) with Windows 10. It immediately found the 2.4G and 5G networks. It has connected without any problems, it doesn't disconnect or anything. It reaches almost 200mbps download and 20mbps upload (almost as much as the LAN). It is perfect for video streaming and movies, nothing lags anymore.
Το εβαλα σε παλιο υπολογιστη (hardware 10ετιας, με νέο SSD) με windows 10. Βρηκε 2,4G και 5G αμεσα. Εχει συνδεθει χωρις κανενα προβλημα, ουτε αποσυνδεσεις κανει ουτε τιποτα. Πιανει σχεδον 200mbps download και 20mbps upload (σχεδον οσο και το λαν δηλαδη). Για video streaming και ταινιες ειναι τέλειο, δεν μου κολλαει τιποτα πια.
Having read several reviews about this product as well as similar products, I draw some conclusions:
1. It is always necessary to install the drivers first, otherwise there is a high chance that the product will not perform as it should.
2. In my case, using a Vodafone Power Station 6 as a router, I had to make a change as shown in the 2 images. The adapter does not support the 160 MHz bandwidth, so when used by this router, the adapter could not find the network. For this reason, many complain that the adapter does not recognize the network (either because they never bothered to install the drivers). The solution to this seems to be shown in the other image, where I changed the bandwidth on my router to 20/40/80 MHz - yes, I know, not ideal, and that's why I give it 4/5 stars.
3. Its speed and range are absolutely satisfactory for me. With a 100 Mbps FTTH connection and a wall in between, I get 100 Mbps on the computer I use it with.
4. For its price, it is worth the money. Its size is also very convenient.
5. So far, I have not noticed any disconnections or freezes. Personally, I use it on a desktop computer.
Έχοντας διαβάσει αρκετές αξιολογήσεις, σχετικά με το προϊόν αυτό αλλά και αντίστοιχα προϊόντα, αφήνω κάποια συμπεράσματα:
1. Πάντα πρέπει πρώτα να γίνεται εγκατάσταση των drivers, σε διαφορετική περίπτωση το προϊόν υπάρχει μεγάλη πιθανότητα να μην συμπεριφέρεται όπως πρέπει.
2. Στη δική μου περίπτωση που χρησιμοποιώ ένα Vodafone Power Station 6 ως ρούτερ, έπρεπε να κάνω μια αλλαγή όπως φαίνεται και στις 2 εικόνες. Ο αντάπτορας δεν υποστηρίζει την εύρος ζώνης 160 MHz, οπότε όταν χρησιμοποιούταν από το ρούτερ αυτό το εύρος ο αντάπτορας δεν έβρισκε το δίκτυο. Για αυτό τον λόγο πολλοί διαμαρτύρονται ότι δεν αναγνωρίζει ο αντάπτορας το δίκτυο (είτε επειδή δεν μπήκαν ποτέ στον κόπο να βάλουν drivers). Η λύση σε αυτό φαίνεται στην άλλη εικόνα, όπου εγώ στο ρούτερ μου άλλαξα το εύρος ζώνης στα 20/40/80 MHz - ναι ξέρω, όχι ιδανικό, και αυτός είναι και ο λόγος που του βάζω 4/5 αστέρια.
3. Η ταχύτητά του και η εμβέλειά του είναι απολύτως ικανοποιητική για εμένα, με 100άρα FTTH και τοίχο στο ενδιάμεσο, πιάνω 100 και στον υπολογιστή που το χρησιμοποιώ.
4. Για την τιμή του, αξίζει τα χρήματα. Πολύ βολικό επίσης το μέγεθός του
5. Μέχρι στιγμής δεν έχω παρατηρήσει αποσυνδέσεις / κολλήματα, προσωπικά τον χρησιμοποιώ σε σταθερό υπολογιστή.
It does not even recognize the 5ghz from the router's dual band, only the 2.4 and at a distance of 4 meters from the 230 wireless that I get with my mobile, it reaches only 13-20mbps. It's a shame, spend a little more money and get something else, it's not even value for money as I thought, but wasted money
Δεν αναγνωριζει καν την 5ghz απο το dual band του router, μονο το 2.4 και σε αποσταση 4μετρων απο 230 ασυρματη που πιανω με το κινητο,αυτο πιανει 13-20mbps..Κριμα, δωστε λιγα χρηματα παραπανω και παρτε κατι αλλο,δεν ειναι καν vfm οπως νομιζα αλλα πεταμενα λεφτα
2 stars because it didn't immediately display the 5G network of my router while it displayed others and while I was connected to 5G on my mobile. After numerous tests and adjustments to the router, I ended up breaking everything and being left without internet after disabling the 2.4 network. I turned off and on the router again and everything is fine.

Finally, one star because it doesn't display the 5G network of the router while displaying neighboring networks and while I am connected to 5G on my mobile. I have to take time to restart the router every time.
Τα 2 αστέρια επειδη δεν μου εμφανισε αμεσως το 5G δικτυο του ρουτερ μου ενω αλλα τα εμφανιζε και ενω με το 5G ημουν συνδεδεμένος στο κινητο.
Τελικα μετά από απειρες δοκιμες και ρυθμισεις στο ρουτερ, αφου τα χάλασα όλα και εμεινα χωρις ιντερνετ αφου απενεργοποιησα το δικτυο 2,4. εσβησα και ξαναάναψα το ρουτερ και ολα καλα.

ΤΕΛΙΚΑ ενα αστερι γιατί δεν μου εμφανίζει το 5g δικτυο του ρούτερ ενω εμφανίζει γειτονικά δίκτυα και ενώ είμαι συνδεδεμένος με το 5g στο κινητό. Πρέπει να διαθέσω χρόνο για να κάνω επανεκκίνηση το ρούτερ κάθε φορά.

The speed you see in the photo is with a 200Mbps connection from INALAN and I am on the balcony, 8 meters away from the router. I got it for 17€ and I think it's worth its money.

I have had fiber optic internet (100 Mbps) at home since yesterday, and the measurements on my children's 2 mobile phones and their 2 modern gaming laptops were 102 Mbps!
However, not for my excellent but ancient Toshiba A665-11T laptop (model from 2011 with Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 740 @ 1.73GHz and 8.00 GB RAM), which couldn't synchronize above... 42 Mbps (measurement with ALL other devices closed and only one Google Chrome tab open, from where I took the measurement).
I bought the TP-LINK Archer T3U AC1300 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter and downloaded the driver for Windows 11 from https://www.tp-link.com/gr/support/download/archer-t3u/v1/#Driver (yes, you noticed correctly, the old A665 runs Windows 11 wonderfully, even though I got it with Windows 7, don't listen to what Microsoft says).
Immediately after, I set up another Wi-Fi network, which I configured to only transmit at 5 GHz.
Result: With 4 mobile phones and 2 laptops simultaneously connected to the same network (with 58 open Google Chrome tabs on mine) and also a PlayStation 4... in full action, my Toshiba transformed and synchronized at a crazy speed of... 100.23 Mbps! (see speedtest photo).
As for signal interruptions, which some people mention, I haven't had a single one in the 6 hours that I have been using the adapter.
Now that's a (cheap) laptop upgrade! Well done TP-LINK!
Έχω από χθες στο σπίτι internet οπτικών ινών (fiber 100 Mbps) και οι μετρήσεις στα 2 κινητά των γιών μου και στα 2 σύγχρονα gaming laptop τους, ήταν 102 Mbps!
OXI, όμως, και για το δικό μου εξαιρετικό, αλλά πανάρχαιο laptop Toshiba A665-11T (μοντέλο του 2011 με Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 740 @ 1.73GHz και 8,00 GB RAM), που δεν κατάφερνε να συγχρονίσει πάνω από… 42 Mbps (μέτρηση με ΟΛΕΣ τις άλλες συσκευές κλειστές και μία μόνο καρτέλα του Google Chrome ανοικτή, από όπου έκανα την μέτρηση).
Αγόρασα το Archer T3U AC1300 Ασύρματο Dual Band USB Adapter της TP-LINK και κατέβασα από το https://www.tp-link.com/gr/support/download/archer-t3u/v1/#Driver τον driver για Windows 11 (ναι, σωστά παρατηρήσατε, τα Windows 11 τα τρέχει θαυμάσια το παλιό Α665, που το πήρα με Windows 7, μην ακούτε τι λέει η Microsoft).
Αμέσως μετά, έφτιαξα ένα ακόμη Wi-Fi δίκτυο, που το ρύθμισα να εκπέμπει ΜΟΝΟ στα 5 GHz.
Αποτέλεσμα: Με 4 κινητά και 2 laptop ταυτόχρονα συνδεδεμένα στο ίδιο δίκτυο (με 58 ανοικτές καρτέλες Google Chrome στο δικό μου) και, επίσης, ένα Play Station 4... σε full δράση, το Toshiba μου μεταμορφωμένο συγχρόνιζε σαν τρελό στα... 100,23 Mbps! (βλέπε photo του speedtest).
Όσο για διακοπές σήματος, που αναφέρουν κάποιοι, δεν έχω ούτε μία, εδώ και 6 h που λειτουργώ τον adapter.

One or two times the PC didn't see it and it needed a disconnect and reconnect, otherwise it plays flawlessly every day for months... It is perfect for the work I need it for.

It had a tendency to always connect to 2.4 and only after some settings I managed to make it connect to 5. It was basically a temporary solution. Unfortunately, the frequent disconnections it makes on its own as a device result in internet browsing being an endless nerve-wracking experience.
Είχε την τάση να συνδέεται πάντα στο 2.4 και μόνο μετά από ρυθμίσεις κατάφερα να μπαίνει μόνο στο 5. Ήταν λύση ανάγκης βασικά. Δυστυχώς οι αποσυνδέσεις που κάνει μόνο του σαν συσκευή είναι συχνότατες με αποτέλεσμα η πλοήγηση στο internet να είναι ένα ατέλειωτο σπάσιμο νεύρων.
I had the same problem with disconnections until it became very annoying, but with the update I did, the problem was fixed and I haven't experienced any disconnections again. The speed is excellent.
Είχα και εγώ το ίδιο πρόβλημα με τις αποσυνδέσεις, μέχρι που ήταν πολύ ενοχλητικό αλλά με ενημέρωση update που έκανα διορθώθηκε το πρόβλημα και δεν αντιμετωπίζω ξανά καμία αποσύνδεση. Από ταχύτητα είναι Άριστο.

it is the worst. every tp link adapter I have bought always loses signal even if the router is in the same room, other times it just doesn't connect for no reason. just never buy it!!

I had previously bought a TP-Link adapter, worse indeed, but it lasted much longer compared to this one, which keeps disconnecting for no reason. I'm not saying I have bad internet, I have a 50 Mbps line and quite a few obstacles around the PC, but there were times when it worked perfectly and other times when the disconnections wouldn't stop no matter what I did. When I started using mobile data and saw somewhat better performance, I felt a bit relieved, but it didn't take long before it disconnected again. I consider it useless and pointless, especially for its price.
Είχα ξανά παρει tp link adapter χειρότερο νε μεν αλλά μου κράτησε πολύ παραπάνω καιρό σε αντίθεση με αυτό το οποίο όλη την ώρα τρώει αποσυνδέσεις για κανέναν λόγο. Δεν λέω έχω κακό ίντερνετ, 50ρα γραμμή και αρκετά εμπόδια γύρω από το pc αλλά υπήρχαν φορές που δούλευε άψογα και άλλες που δεν σταματούσαν οι αποσυνδέσεις με ότι και να έκανα. Όταν άρχισα να παίζω με δεδομένα και είδα κάπως καλύτερη δουλειά τότε ησύχασα λίγο αλλά δεν άργησε για να ξαναφάει αποσύνδεση. Θεωρώ πως είναι άχρηστο και ανούσιο ειδικά για την τιμή του.
USELESS do not buy it for any reason, I don't understand why they don't withdraw it. ΑΧΡΗΣΤΟ μην το παρετε για κανενα λογο, δεν καταλαβαινω γιατι δεν το αποσυρουν. Ασταματητες αποσυνδεσεις εδω και πολυ καιρο, νομιζα οτι ειχε χαλασει, πηγα να παρω ενα αλλο usb adapter κ τυχαια ειχε μονο το ιδιο, το εβαλα πιστευοντας οτι το καινουργιο θα δουλευει και κανει τα ιδια.

The worst I have ever used, constant disconnections, I have tried changing the drivers from the official site, I have searched everything and honestly the money was wasted. Ότι χειρότερο εχω χρησιμοποιήσει, συνεχώς αποσυνδέσεις, έχω δοκιμάσει να αλλάξω τους drivers απο το official site έχω ψάξει τα πάντα και πραγματικά τζάμπα τα λεφτά. Ανοίγεις το pc δεν εχει καν σήμα περιμένεις δέκα λεπτά πιάνει, ξαφνικά ξανά χάνεται και ξανα απο την αρχή. 0/10
Incredibly bad product! I tried every possible setting from router, extender, PC and all I managed to do was to keep reducing the speed more and more for supposed stability, but it just disconnected a little less. Mercusys MERMA72XH Wireless USB Network Adapter 574Mbps. I got this one and I don't lose speed and I never have disconnections.
Απιστευτα κακο προιον! Προσπαθησα καθε δυνατη ρυθμιση απο ρουτερ extender PC και το μονο που καταφερνα ειναι να μειωνω ολο και πιο πολυ την ταχυτητα για δηθεν σταθεροτητα αλλα αυτο απλα αποσυνδεοταν λιγο λιγοτερο. Mercusys MERMA72XH Ασύρματος USB Αντάπτορας Δικτύου 574Mbps. Πηρα αυτο και ουτε σε ταχυτητα χανω και δεν εχω ποτε αποσυνδεσεις.
