Protection Technologies
- OPP (Over Power Protection); Function to shut down the power supply when excessive power is drawn, generally between 110 and 140% of the advertised power.
- OTP (Over Temperature Protection): Protects the power supply from overheating due to a failure, e.g., of the fan.
- UVP (Under Voltage Protection): Protection aimed at shutting down the power supply if the voltage drops too low.
- OVP (Over Voltage Protection): Over voltage protection works similarly to UVP, but in the opposite way.
- SCP (Short Circuit Protection): Short circuit protection measures the resistance on each rail and will shut down when the resistance is lower than 0.1 Ω. Generally, this is combined with OPP, OCP, OVP, and UVP.
