This study briefly unfolds, with the aid of clinical examples, the complexity of the concept of psychological trauma and its unexpected consequences both in the life of the analyzed individual and in the psychoanalytic process. It also shows how carefully and seriously the analyst must approach a psychologically wounded person who, often living within a fog of power, success, and self-confidence, deeply feels alone and fragile.
