Ultra high-efficiency "green" battery charger

With an efficiency of up to 95%, these chargers generate three to four times less heat than the industry standard. And, once the battery is fully charged, the power consumption drops to 0.5 watts, which is five to ten times better than the industry standard.

Durable, safe, and silent

  •  Low thermal load on electronic components
  •  Protected against the ingress of dust, water, and chemicals.
  •  Overheating protection: The output current is reduced if the temperature rises to 60°C, but the charger will not be damaged.
  •  The chargers are completely silent: no fan or other moving parts.

Refurbished:

A lead-acid battery that has not been sufficiently charged or has remained in a discharged state for days or weeks will degrade its performance due to sulfation. If the process is interrupted in time, it can partially reverse the sulfation by charging the battery with a low current until a higher voltage is reached.

Fully Discharged Battery Recovery Function

Most chargers with reverse polarity protection do not recognize a battery that has been discharged to zero volts or nearly zero volts and therefore do not recharge it. However, the Blue Smart IP65 charger attempts to recharge a fully discharged battery with a low current and continues normal charging once sufficient voltage has accumulated at the battery terminals.

The VictronConnect app:

Adjust, view, and configure the Blue Smart IP65 charger using your smartphone. With the VictronConnect app, you can see the status of your charger and battery, and even control the functions of your charger. By default, the voltage and current are displayed on the screen.

Storage mode: less corrosion on positive plates

Even the lower voltage of the float charging phase, which follows the constant voltage phase, leads to grid corrosion. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to further reduce the charging voltage, even if the battery remains connected to the charger for more than 48 hours.

Charging process with temperature compensation.

The optimal charging voltage of a lead-acid battery is inversely proportional to the temperature. The Blue Smart IP65 charger measures the ambient temperature during the test phase and compensates for the temperature during charging. The temperature is measured again when the charger is in low current operation, float charging phase, or storage mode. Therefore, no special settings are required for cold or hot environments. 

For lithium-ion batteries

The Blue Smart IP65 charger uses a specific charging algorithm with automatic reset function for lithium-ion undervoltage protection.
