After years of being a fan of Corsair/Thermaltake, I decided to try out be quiet! products since the reviews I read about them were generally very good. With that being said... the 4 fans - 3x 120mm, 1x 140mm - replaced the previous ones in my Thermaltake Spedo Advance case (I know it's old but the airflow it has is amazing), 2 to exhaust air from the case behind the AIO liquid freezer ii 240 in a pull configuration (for push, I have left the "mama" Arctic fans which are fantastic by the way), one 140mm in the front for intake and one in front of the motherboard to blow air onto the RAM and MOSFETs.
Although I didn't expect significant changes in the temperatures inside the case, since the airflow, as mentioned before, is amazing, I noticed a huge difference in the noise produced by the PC. Even at night when it's completely quiet, I can barely hear the fans, even at the default speed settings on the motherboard. At full speed, they make quite a bit of noise, but the airflow they generate is simply excessive for normal use. At around 40-65% speed, which is what they run at in my case, they are almost silent.
In terms of temperature, the difference is within the margin of error, around 1-2 degrees, which I don't take seriously since these are not lab measurements in a controlled environment and the temperatures are already low (30-35 degrees inside the case according to various sensors on the motherboard and 2 additional sensors of my own).
In conclusion, I highly recommend them to those who have noisy fans and want relatively good performance without too much noise in their environment.
P.S. To avoid any misunderstandings regarding the 4 stars and the mediocre criticism about the noise, it is specifically about the noise they make at full speed. That's why there are the silent wings from the same company with a similar price.
Μετά από χρόνια με Fans των corsair/thermaltake είπα να δοκιμάσω της be quiet μιας και τα σχόλια που διάβασα για τους συγκεκριμένους ήταν πολύ καλα σε γενικές γραμμες. Στο δια ταύτα... τα Fan -4 το σύνολο, 3x 120mm, 1x 140mm- αντικατέστησαν τα προηγούμενα σε κουτί Thermaltake Spedo Advance (ξέρω είναι αρχαίο αλλα το airflow που έχει είναι καταπληκτικό), 2 για να βγάζουν αέρα από το κουτί πίσω από AIO liquid freezer ii 240 σε pull (για push έχω αφήσει τα "μαμά" της arctic που είναι φανταστικα παρεπιπτόντως), ένα 140mm στην πρόσοψη για εισαγωγή αέρα στο κουτί κι ένα μπροστά από τη motherboard να φυσάει αέρα στις μνήμες και τα mosfet.
Αν και για να πω την αλήθεια δεν περίμενα μεγάλες αλλαγές στις θερμοκρασίες στο εσωτερικό του κουτιού, μιας και το airflow όπως προανέφερα είναι καταπληκτικό, είδα τεράστια διαφορά στον θόρυβο που παράγεται πλέον από το pc. Ακόμα και το βράδυ που έχει την απόλυτη ησυχία, μετά βίας ακούγονται τα fan, ακόμα και στις default ρυθμίσεις στροφών του motherboard. Σε full speed κάνουν αρκετή φασαρία αλλά και ο αέρας που κινούν είναι απλά υπερβολικός για νορμάλ χρήση. Στο 40-65% περίπου που δουλεύουν στο δικό μου κουτί είναι σχεδόν αθόρυβα
Σε θερμοκρασία η διαφορά κυμάνεται στα όρια του στατιστικού λάθους 1-2 βαθμούς που δεν θα λάβω σοβαρά υπόψην μιας και δεν είναι εργαστηριακές μετρήσεις σε σταθερό περιβάλλον και είναι ήδη σε χαμηλά επίπεδα (30-35 βαθμούς στο εσωτερικό του κουτιού από διάφορους σένσορες της μητρικής και 2 έξτρα δικούς μου.
Εν κατακλείδι, τους συνηστώ ανεπιφύλακτα σε όσους έχουν θορυβώδη fan-άκια και θέλουν σχετικά καλές επιδόσεις χωρίς πολύ φασαρία στο περιβάλλον τους.
ΥΓ. Για να μην παρεξηγηθώ σεχτικά με τα 4 αστέρια και την μέτρια κριτική στον θόρυβο, είναι για τον θόρυβο που κάνουν σε full speed. Γι αυτό και υπάρχουν και τα silent wings της ίδιας εταιρίας με ανάλογη τιμή.
