Our era, transitional and evidently more indecisive, is full of requests. It is primarily one of great aspirations and inexhaustible desires. Does a person find the time, does the inclination gather within them, to truly feel the request? But what could this request mean? A request of an era!
In front of us, an image dense and gigantic of humanity automatically emerges, in its ceaseless movement - a world in space and time - how can it not dismay us? We know, we learn, we are constantly informed about many things. What do people ask for in the trinitarian aspect of time? And how will their request be unanimous?
Of course, the deeper need of humanity exists, it is the one voice. However, what we hear in our own reality - even if we call it apparent - are the loud voices around us and the clamors. And these voices, these invocations are moving, legitimate. We can even distinguish some brilliant (perhaps standardized now?) words that are persistently repeated: Peace, Freedom, Justice. Unchanging, unceasing, eternal requests.
