Vitex Bitumol bituminous waterproofing sealer is a solvent-based bitumen varnish, suitable for preparing surfaces before applying bituminous membranes. It forms a protective waterproofing film and adheres to concrete, lightweight concrete, wood, stone and brick. The film is resistant to dilute acid solutions and alkalis.
Apply cold, undiluted, in a single coat using a grass brush, paintbrush, roller or spray gun. The surface must be smooth, clean and dry, free of dust, oils, rust or loose material. For vertical surfaces, waterproofing concrete or providing corrosion protection to metal surfaces, at least two coats are recommended. Do not apply to expanded or extruded polystyrene. Petroleum products will damage the coating.
