The adapter is for connecting a Display Port output of a computer to an SVGA input of a monitor, and not the other way around!!!! The packaging intentionally has the double-direction arrows, but it is not valid (SVGA <-> DisplayPort) !!! When you open the packaging and turn the adapter upside down, you will see clearly that it is one way!!! Obviously, I tried to see if it works (smartass) and ended up frying my graphics card!!!! Be careful! After changing my card, I tried the SAVIO CL-145 VGA TO HDMI CONVERTER, which worked perfectly in the end.

Η συσκευασία επίτηδες έχει την επισήμανση με διπλή κατεύθυνση βελάκια αλλά δεν ισχύει (SVGA <->DisplayPort) !!! Όταν ανοίξεις την συσκευασία και γυρίσεις τον αντάπτορα ανάποδα θα δεις ότι γράφει σαφώς ότι είναι one way!!! Αφού άλλαξα κάρτα με νέα δοκίμασα τον SAVIO CL-145 VGA TO HDMI CONVERTER που τελικά δούλεψε άψογα.

However, I would like to note two things:
1) It only accepts DisplayPort from the computer for conversion to VGA *and not the other way around*, something that they mention in the product's PDF on their page but not on the label on the packaging (as seen in the image from Skroutz). During this time, they have changed the packaging to indicate that it is a one-way adapter, but even in the new version, they have left a marking with 2 arrows for some reason.
2) It does not transmit the display information (EDID) beyond the resolution to the computer, resulting in the highest frequency it operates at being 60Hz.

Θα ήθελα να σημειώσω όμως δύο πράγματα:

Μέσα σε αυτό το διάστημα έχουν αλλάξει τη συσκευασία ώστε να φαίνεται ότι είναι one-way adapter, αλλά ακόμη και στην νέα έκδοση έχουν αφήσει μια ένδειξη με 2 βέλη για κάποιο λόγο.
2) Δεν μεταφέρει τις πληροφορίες της οθόνης (EDID) πέρα από την ανάλυση στον υπολογιστή, με αποτέλεσμα η υψηλότερη συχνότητα στην οποία λειτουργεί είναι 60Hz.
