Very good all around lens, in my opinion better for crop bodies. Recommended for video as well. Good and very good color performance. The best aperture is f 7.1. As for the negatives, there is significant distortion on full frame bodies, which is still visible even on crop. Also, the lens zooms in and out on its own when holding the camera at an angle, and this can be quite annoying. Overall, it is a good lens but don't expect miracles.

It is a lens that you can start with in photography and have it all. A little dark otherwise okay!

    A very good all-around lens!
Very good sharpness throughout the range.
    Extremely fast auto-focus!
Great build quality and moisture protection (not all L lenses have it).
One of its best features is its weight, lightweight (for what it offers).

Although a lens for FF camera is very good and also for cropped frame. It has as much zoom as you need and its 24mm (38mm) is not bad. I have it on a 600d and the result is very good. On a FF camera (tested on 5d Mark ii) it has some distortion at 24mm, but on cropped it is much less. It focuses very quickly and it is definitely worth the money. It is a bit heavy to carry on trips but the result compensates for the effort.

A very good lens for all-around use that rarely disconnects from the body. I have it on my 6D.
    Pros:
    Color rendering
    Image quality
    Focus speed and accuracy
    Quality and sturdiness of construction
    Useful focal length

    Cons:
    Significant distortion at 24mm
Not the sharpest lens at any focal length. You notice this if you have worked with the absolute 24-70 2.8

Very good lens with excellent crystals. I have worked with it on the eos 5 & eos 5 mk II and it delivers very good image with good clarity. I bought it for 1200 € in 2008 and had to replace its aperture mechanism after 100,000 clicks, which cost me 250 €. For its current price, it is a very good purchase. There is also the sigma 24-105 f 4 in this category, which is slightly better in performance and costs around 80 € more.

Incredible lens, I attached it to my camera and I don't take it off. In any case, it takes clear photos. Excellent build quality, I regret not buying it earlier.
