I have had this specific lens attached to my D7500 for almost a year. Maybe even longer. I found it on sale from abroad for just over 450€. For that price and a little more, it is perfect. Perhaps the only downside for some people is its weight, which is something you get used to after a while. I also agree that it is ideal for traveling, especially in moments when you don't have time to change lenses. Τον συγκεκριμένο φακό τον έχω κουμπωμένο στην D7500 σχεδόν ένα χρόνο. Ίσως και παραπάνω. Τον είχα βρει σε προσφορά από εξωτερικό λίγο πάνω 450€.Σαυτα τα χρήματα και λίγο παραπάνω είναι ότι πρέπει. Ίσως το μόνο ελάττωμα για κάποιους να είναι το βάρος του κάτι το οποίο συνηθίζεται μετά από λίγο καιρό. One month has passed with the lens in my hands on the D750 that came as a kit. I took about 3,000 clicks with it. It is a lens that does it all and is cost-effective. I did product photography with a combo of 2 studio flashes, I did landscape, long exposure, went to the sea and tried to capture the waves through it, took pictures of airplanes and running steamboats, fell in the mud with it while testing its VR active mode, and looked up at the sky hoping to see the Milky Way, and here are my conclusions:
Firstly, I must say that I am extremely bothered by the minimum distance of 45cm from my subject because it mainly deprives me of the ability to capture what I have in mind in wide-angle shots.
Secondly, the lens hood bothers me. It is quite bulky although useful, of course.
I would like the lens to come with a case for the belt because the case with a hard bottom provided by Nikon is not convenient.
In many photos, I had to intervene in post-production to remove vignetting.
Let's move on to the positives. The 24-120 is the most convenient focal length lens I have ever had. It truly made my life easy.
Other than that, it is a sturdy lens, heavy, and reliable. Its VR does not produce miracles, but it does its job well where it should. Fortunately, due to work and the presence of a flash, low shutter speeds and high ISO to achieve good results are not an issue.
The AF is flawless and silent. Perhaps slightly slower than Nikon's 70-200, which I think gives lessons in fast AF (also tested on the D750).
So, we have a fast, sharp enough for its focal length, reliable lens that deserves to be in every photographer's bag. If you go on a trip with only ONE lens, this would be the one. If you had this one and wanted another, then the clear choice would be a 50mm f/1.8.
Πέρασε ένας μήνας με τον φακό στα χεριά μου πάνω στην D750 που ήρθαν ως kit. Έκανα περίπου 3.000 κλικς μαζί του. Είναι ένας φακός που τα κάνει όλα και συμφέρει. Έκανα product photography με combo 2 studio flash, έκανα landscape, long exposure, πήγα στη θάλασσα και δοκίμασα να πιάσω τα κύματα μέσω αυτού, έβγαλα αεροπλάνα και βαπόρια να τρέχουν, έπεσα στις λάσπες μαζί του δοκιμάζοντας το VR active mode του και στράφηκα στον ουρανό μπας και δω τον milky way και κατέληξα στα εξής:
Αρχικά θα πω ότι με ενοχλεί απίστευτα η ελάχιστη απόσταση των 45cm απο το θέμα μου γιατί μου στερεί κυρίως στα wide angle shots την δυνατότητα να βγάλω αυτό που έχω κατα νου.
Δεύτερο πράγμα που με ενοχλεί είναι το lens hood. Είναι αρκετά ογκώδες αν και χρήσιμο φυσικά.
Θα ήθελα ο φακός να έρχεται με θήκη για τη ζώνη γιατi hθήκη με σκληρό πάτο που δίνει η Nikon ΔΕΝ ΒΟΛΕΥΕΙ.
Σε πάρα πολλές φωτογραφίες χρειάστηκε να επέμβω στο post production για αφαίρεση Vignetting.

Το AF απροβλημάτιστο, αθόρυβο. Ίσως ελάχιστα πιο αργό απο τον 70-200 της Nikon που νομίζω πώς δίνει μαθήματα γρήγορου AF(δοκιμασμένος επίσης σε D750)
Οπότε έχουμε έναν γρήγορο, αρκετά οξύ για το focal length του, αξιόπιστο φακό που αξίζει να βρίσκεται σε κάθε φωτογράφου την τσάντα. Αν φύγετε ταξίδι με ΈΝΑΝ μόνο φακό αυτός θα ήταν ο ένας. Αν είχατε αυτόν και θέλατε άλλον ένα τότε η επιλογή θα ήταν σαφώς ένας 50ρης f/1.8 .

It is also brighter than I expected. The weight is normal for such a lens. The build quality is very good.

Η ποιότητα κατασκευή τους πολύ καλή.

As soon as it came out of the box, it has a problem with the zoom. I have purchased extended warranty, but they informed me that (bring it to the service center so we can send it and we don't know how long the repair return will take, we don't know if it will be opened or replaced).
Of course, if someone opens the lens.. the lens is gone...
Με το που βγήκε από το κουτί, έχει πρόβλημα στο ζουμ, έχω αγοράσει έξτρα εγγύηση αλλά με ενημέρωσαν ότι ( φέρτο στο σέρβις να το στείλουμε εμείς κ δεν ξέρουμε πόσο χρονικό διάστημα θα κάνει η επιστροφή της επισκευής, δεν ξέρουμε εάν ανοιχτεί η εάν αντικατασταθεί).
Φυσικά εάν ανοίξει κάποιος τον φακό..πάει τέλος ο φακός...

One month has passed with the lens in my hands on the D750 that came as a kit. I took about 3,000 clicks with it. It is a lens that does it all and is cost-effective. I did product photography with a combo of 2 studio flashes, I did landscape, long exposure, went to the sea and tried to capture the waves through it, took pictures of airplanes and running steamboats, fell in the mud with it while testing its VR active mode, and looked up at the sky hoping to see the Milky Way, and here are my conclusions:
Firstly, I must say that I am extremely bothered by the minimum distance of 45cm from my subject because it mainly deprives me of the ability to capture what I have in mind in wide-angle shots.
Secondly, the lens hood bothers me. It is quite bulky although useful, of course.
I would like the lens to come with a case for the belt because the case with a hard bottom provided by Nikon is not convenient.
In many photos, I had to intervene in post-production to remove vignetting.
Let's move on to the positives. The 24-120 is the most convenient focal length lens I have ever had. It truly made my life easy.
Other than that, it is a sturdy lens, heavy, and reliable. Its VR does not produce miracles, but it does its job well where it should. Fortunately, due to work and the presence of a flash, low shutter speeds and high ISO to achieve good results are not an issue.
The AF is flawless and silent. Perhaps slightly slower than Nikon's 70-200, which I think gives lessons in fast AF (also tested on the D750).
So, we have a fast, sharp enough for its focal length, reliable lens that deserves to be in every photographer's bag. If you go on a trip with only ONE lens, this would be the one. If you had this one and wanted another, then the clear choice would be a 50mm f/1.8.
Πέρασε ένας μήνας με τον φακό στα χεριά μου πάνω στην D750 που ήρθαν ως kit. Έκανα περίπου 3.000 κλικς μαζί του. Είναι ένας φακός που τα κάνει όλα και συμφέρει. Έκανα product photography με combo 2 studio flash, έκανα landscape, long exposure, πήγα στη θάλασσα και δοκίμασα να πιάσω τα κύματα μέσω αυτού, έβγαλα αεροπλάνα και βαπόρια να τρέχουν, έπεσα στις λάσπες μαζί του δοκιμάζοντας το VR active mode του και στράφηκα στον ουρανό μπας και δω τον milky way και κατέληξα στα εξής:
Αρχικά θα πω ότι με ενοχλεί απίστευτα η ελάχιστη απόσταση των 45cm απο το θέμα μου γιατί μου στερεί κυρίως στα wide angle shots την δυνατότητα να βγάλω αυτό που έχω κατα νου.
Δεύτερο πράγμα που με ενοχλεί είναι το lens hood. Είναι αρκετά ογκώδες αν και χρήσιμο φυσικά.
Θα ήθελα ο φακός να έρχεται με θήκη για τη ζώνη γιατi hθήκη με σκληρό πάτο που δίνει η Nikon ΔΕΝ ΒΟΛΕΥΕΙ.
Σε πάρα πολλές φωτογραφίες χρειάστηκε να επέμβω στο post production για αφαίρεση Vignetting.
Ας πάμε στα θετικά. Το 24-120 είναι ό,τι πιο βολικό είχα σε focal lengh ποτέ μου. Έκανε τη ζωή μου εύκολη πραγματικά.
Κατά τα άλλα είναι στιβαρός φακός, είναι βαρής είναι αξιόπιστος. Το VR του δεν βγάζει μάτια αλλά τη δουλειά του την κάνει καλά εκεί που πρέπει. Γενικά λόγω δουλειάς και ύπαρξης φλας οι χαμηλές ταχύτητες κλείστρου και τα ψηλά iso για να πετύχουμε καλό αποτελέσμα δεν παίζουν ευτυχώς.
Το AF απροβλημάτιστο, αθόρυβο. Ίσως ελάχιστα πιο αργό απο τον 70-200 της Nikon που νομίζω πώς δίνει μαθήματα γρήγορου AF(δοκιμασμένος επίσης σε D750)
Οπότε έχουμε έναν γρήγορο, αρκετά οξύ για το focal length του, αξιόπιστο φακό που αξίζει να βρίσκεται σε κάθε φωτογράφου την τσάντα. Αν φύγετε ταξίδι με ΈΝΑΝ μόνο φακό αυτός θα ήταν ο ένας. Αν είχατε αυτόν και θέλατε άλλον ένα τότε η επιλογή θα ήταν σαφώς ένας 50ρης f/1.8 .

It's not like prime lenses, okay, but I think in all the cases I needed it, it performed well. The autofocus is a bit slow, but the bokeh is incredible for a lens that is not intended for such use. It is also brighter than I expected. The weight is normal for such a lens. The build quality is very good.

Δεν είναι σαν τους prime φακούς οκ, αλλά νομίζω ότι σε όλες τις περιπτώσεις που τον χρειάστηκα με έβγαλε ασπροπρόσωπο. Λίγο αργεί το autofocus αλλά είναι απίστευτο το bokeh του για φακό που δεν προορίζεται για τέτοια χρήση. Επίσης είναι περισσότερος φωτεινός από ότι περίμενα. Το βάρος του κανονικό για τέτοιο φακό. Η ποιότητα κατασκευή τους πολύ καλή.
Τον έχω σε σώμα Nikon D750 και τον αγόρασα καινούριο στα 450€ από το εξωτερικό
As soon as it came out of the box, it has a problem with the zoom. I have purchased extended warranty, but they informed me that (bring it to the service center so we can send it and we don't know how long the repair return will take, we don't know if it will be opened or replaced).
Of course, if someone opens the lens.. the lens is gone...
Με το που βγήκε από το κουτί, έχει πρόβλημα στο ζουμ, έχω αγοράσει έξτρα εγγύηση αλλά με ενημέρωσαν ότι ( φέρτο στο σέρβις να το στείλουμε εμείς κ δεν ξέρουμε πόσο χρονικό διάστημα θα κάνει η επιστροφή της επισκευής, δεν ξέρουμε εάν ανοιχτεί η εάν αντικατασταθεί).
Φυσικά εάν ανοίξει κάποιος τον φακό..πάει τέλος ο φακός...
