  • This review is about the size: 125 mm

Extremely smooth, and satisfying in the operation of the spring…
You can tell it cuts by the sound! It doesn't click, it goes 'klouk', and it's much quieter (not that you care about not making noise)… and what it cuts it doesn't shoot out (usually, obviously depending on the material)

Excellent build quality and amazing precision and control when used correctly for the tasks it is designed for. Its specifications are clearly written on its handle (1.2 mm for steel wire and 1.6 mm for copper). An expensive tool for professionals, but it is 100% worth its price.

This review is about size: 125 mm, jaws: -

It broke while I was trying to cut a cable tie (plastic).
In general, in recent years Knipex has lowered the quality of their materials and while they are handy, they are not durable at all.
I have my father's 20-year-old Knipex cutter which still cuts satisfactorily for its age, and I have my own 5-year-old one and it's in the same condition.
My next choice for cutters will be Marvel.

No complaint in use, it remains sharp as a razor and precise, without me mishandling it.
The problem for me is when it is in a tool bag. It remains open and the jaws can easily make a cut or puncture the unsuspecting hand searching for tools. So I would really like it to have a latch to remain closed when not in use. The stainless steel version (7803125) has an opening limiter, but I don't know if it also does the job of latching in a closed position.

I bought it to cut zipties, it leaves no plastic protruding on the tie so you cannot get injured
