The Manhattan 152259 adapter converts a USB 3.0 Type-A connection to an HDMI output for transmitting video and audio from a desktop computer, laptop or Ultrabook to a monitor, projector or TV. It supports resolutions up to 2560 x 1440 in 32-bit color and Full HD 1080p in a 16:9 aspect ratio, as well as 5.1-channel surround sound. The DisplayLink chip and built-in 16 MB DRAM support video playback, while the HDMI output can operate simultaneously with the computer’s original display.

With one adapter per display, up to six displays are supported in extended, mirrored or rotated modes. Power is supplied via USB, with no external power adapter required. The adapter is also backward-compatible with USB 2.0, with reduced performance. Suspend and Wake-up functions are also supported.
