Description

Finger pulse oximeter for reliable measurement of blood oxygen saturation (SpO2%) and heart rate.

Active Ingredients

  • Easy to use wherever you are
  • Readable color OLED screen
  • Measurement of oxygen saturation: 70 ~ 100%
  • Measurement accuracy: For oxygen saturation between 70%-99% (accuracy is ± 2%)
  • Measurement of heart rate: 25 - 250 beats/min, with accuracy ± 1%
  • Low battery indication
  • Resistant to interference
  • Function automatically stops after 8 seconds without finger input
  • Suitable for hospital use

Technical Specifications

  • Power consumption: less than 30mA
  • Weight 23 gr without batteries
  • Operates with 2 x AAA 1.5V (included)
  • Dimensions (LxWxH): 5.6 x 3.1 x 2.7 cm
  • Suitable for home or hospital use

Pulse Oximetry

  • The above examination is done with the well-known oximeter, just place the oximeter on your finger
  • Within a few seconds, the oximeter will measure your pulse and the saturation of hemoglobin in oxygen (SpO2)
  • Basic conditions for reliable measurement are not to have smoked in the last hour, additionally, the nail should not be painted, the fingers should be clean, and it should not be after intense physical exercise
  • For use, it is recommended to use the middle finger due to a larger application surface on the reading sensor

How does the oximeter work?

  • The oximeter features a microprocessor and consists of a light-emitting diode and a photodetector placed directly opposite. The light-emitting diode emits red light at 660 nm (red region) and infrared light at 940 nm (infrared region).
  • Hemoglobin, when connected to oxygen (oxyhemoglobin), undergoes a change in shape and absorbs light of different wavelengths than hemoglobin that is not connected to oxygen (reduced hemoglobin). Oxyhemoglobin absorbs in the infrared region and reduced hemoglobin in the red region. Thus, the percentage of hemoglobin connected to oxygen is determined.
  • The normal values are equal to or greater than 95%.
  • It is worth noting that during intense exercise, a 5% drop in saturation is often normal, but in this case, it is advisable to consult your doctor.
  • Falsely decreased SPO2 is observed when there is low blood flow (Systolic pressure <80 mmHg), severe anemia (HCT<20%), and hypothermia. Additionally, falsely decreased readings can be found in nail polish, particularly in blue, green, and black.
