In this book, I have deliberately separated the exercises related to Obedience from those concerning Safety Training and have made the text as simple as possible, without going into too many details about dog psychology.

Much has already been written on this subject, and although theorists would prefer to have the relevant information included in the book, it would not be easily understandable or necessary for the average dog owner who simply wants to train their own dog.

I believe that the instructions provided in the following pages will be practical for the majority of dog owners who want to make their dogs a useful companion. All the obedience lessons are useful because the dog is trained in the least painful way.
