One could argue that the correct use of the Modern Greek language is easy since it is the language we use daily. However, our experience in secondary education has led us to the conclusion that there is a proven difficulty for students in understanding the syntactic phenomena pertaining to Modern Greek discourse.
The purpose of writing this book is to assist students and anyone else interested in delving into the structure of Modern Greek discourse. We believe that the strict organization of the material, the detailed analysis of syntactic phenomena, and the variety of exercises will effectively help those interested to understand the structure of the Modern Greek language.
Of course, we must not forget that our language has an exceptional variety and that, to comprehend it, beyond the application of syntactic rules, imagination and intuition need to operate as supplementary tools.
