Let's talk about the practical aspects now: The writing quality of this particular pen is decent, and I say this having used all types and brands available: from ballpoint to needlepoint, liquid/solid, and from Pentel to Pilot and Uniball.

For quick, everyday use, it is a pleasure. Fast and effortless ink flow. It may not have the fluidity of a "liquid" Pilot V-ball, for example, but it excels in stability and cleanliness of writing.
It performs perfectly in both light and heavy pressure writing.
I should also note that pressure increases the thickness of the writing, which doesn't happen with a rollerball. This is an extra bonus.

It withstands heavy use and, of course, the ink lasts satisfactorily like other BiC pens. It is slightly more expensive than the regular pen, but the "gold" color is worth it ;-)
