Otherwise, it's definitely not 18 Watts. I measured it with a multimeter and it draws 0.45 Amps.
Which means it's about 6 Watts.
The body is indeed metallic, but the two side covers are plastic.
It gives a circular light in the center with a lighter peripheral light.
It's something between a beam and a dispersion.
