1. The dictionary is written in the demotic form using the monotonic system.
2. The lemma is written in bold characters. The same applies to the derivatives and the expressions provided.
3. The lemma is replaced by the symbol (~) where there are examples or expressions, for reasons of space economy.
4. The pronunciation is enclosed in brackets and has been rendered with Greek characters, making the dictionary more user-friendly.
5. For each lemma, there is a brief grammatical characterization (e.g., noun). Nouns that are the same in both genders do not have a gender designation.
6. Where necessary, explanatory terms have been used (e.g., medical).
7. At the end of the dictionary (Appendix A`), there is a detailed reference to the most important rules of Russian pronunciation, to assist the Greek user.
