Before these boots, I had some Fox boots that I used for years. The transition was traumatic because those had become like sports shoes.
But this is expected with all new boots. As soon as they "broke in," they became extremely comfortable. I can feel the gear changes and the brake pedal well.
They are very well made. High quality with strong seams and nice hard plastics. Clips that can be replaced if they break (very important). They are relatively lightweight. I can say that I am glad I tried something cheaper and it turned out to be so high quality. After 5-6 training sessions, they softened just right and became ideal for my foot.
I use them for enduro and they have saved me even in cases where I hit my foot with the motorcycle.
