On October 19, 2000, a ceremony was held in the main hall of the Archaeological Society in Athens for the presentation of the Honorary Volume in honor of His All-Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Mr. Bartholomew, on the occasion of the completion of ten years since his elevation to the Ecumenical Throne and his sixtieth year of age.

After the presentation of the Honorary Volume to the Primate of Orthodoxy by Professors Mr. G. Patronos and Mr. S. Panos, His All-Holiness Mr. Bartholomew spoke on the theme: "Love never fails" (1 Cor. 13:8).

This text, rich in meaning and full of emotions, serves as a gift from the Ecumenical Patriarch to all those who attended the event, as well as to all Orthodox believers.
