It does indeed heat up well for bread dough specifically, I believe it is not something that appears over time but rather its construction.     After 10 years it stopped working.
    The problems are that it had difficulty with doughs and would overheat excessively, e.g. in the 20 minutes needed for 600g tsoureki dough. The dough hook was replaced with a stainless steel one from Temu, which also has a collector for the oils that drip from the motor.
