Mechanism-tool-winch, it says it all, I've had it in my possession for a year and a half! I have mistreated it quite a bit, it has taken sand, air, water... Dog!!! It has very good brakes and quick drag, meaning half a turn tightens the brakes, half a turn loosens them again, something very convenient when fighting a fish. It is of a much higher quality class than other reels of the same value! Excellent bearings and line retrieval, almost a meter, I think that says it all... I threw away all my old reels and bought two more, they are set up with 3-piece rods, casts with 120g sinker about 90 meters. As for the pick-up that some mention, I don't know why it doesn't suit them, it suits me very well. Get it with your eyes closed! And I'm not getting them from Shimano, it's just a very good mechanism!

The Shimano Beastmaster 10000 XB is a reel that truly performs under tough conditions. I use it for surfcasting with weights of 100–150g and casts at great depth, and so far it has not disappointed me.

Its drag is smooth and progressive, it doesn't "stick" and you can adjust it easily even with wet hands. The line capacity is more than enough – it holds over 300m of PE 0.18 comfortably and works perfectly with a shock leader setup.

Its body is sturdy, it feels nice in the hand, and the retrieve ratio is balanced – ideal for lifting weights or retrieving from long casts. Excellent value for money for Shimano.

The pick-up doesn't let you open it in the position that suits you for making a shot. You always have to rotate it a bit more for it to open completely, resulting in it blocking the shot afterwards. A problem that I don't have even with a Chinese one for €20. The crank has play in both that I have bought and is very plasticky. I do not recommend them for any reason

I don't like that when you open the pickup to make a cast it doesn't stay, you have to turn it more forward and it's annoying
I contacted the store, zero customer service... for a 3-day purchase "send it to Shimano to fix it, no returns...".
I called Shimano.. they told me I gather it with my right hand... while it's for left-handed people..... all mechanisms are like this and various nonsense.....

Only a small annoyance occurs when opening the pickup to take a shot, you always have to move a little forward to put it in standby position

Very good for its price, I have married it with a Shimano rod 4.20 Alivio and a 1 kilo Tsipouro, I didn't even realize how I brought it. I highly recommend it, I have had it for 1 year and it hasn't presented any problems.

Very good mechanism and at a good price. It can easily be compared to more expensive models in its category.

AMAZING mechanism, truly worth its money. Comfortable in casting and reeling. With a 4.20m fishing rod, the 100-meter shots come easily (you can easily measure the distance since each handle rotation is one meter). The power of 16 kilograms in the brakes says it all, there is no other mechanism in its category and at the price that this one offers for comparison.
