After a minute you don't feel any pain.
It did a good job, gently on the feet, and in the bikini area.
It is worth the money especially for a "beginner"

It appears to be of good quality compared to a similar product I had for over 7 years. The pain depends on the area, density, and type of each hair. If it's the first time, it hurts a lot because it even removes the fuzz, although it may require 2-3 repetitions in the same spot. To avoid intense pain, you can go over it once and after the intense irritation subsides, go over it again for the finer hairs. Do not moisturize immediately after hair removal! Give it some time for the pores to close. For the bikini area, a good numbing cream is needed half an hour to an hour before, a good cleansing to remove all the oiliness, and then the pain becomes more bearable.

old school machine, vfm for sure and seems to be durable although I haven't used it much yet.
It hurts as much as hair removal machines do and generally it's what you expect.
It has many useful attachments although I'm not sure I will use them all.
The most important thing is that it's not battery operated which generally doesn't serve me well either because their battery runs out before I finish hair removal, or because they break relatively easily and need replacement or simply don't last long.

I had an old silk epil (2003-2004) and since then I haven't used a razor and only use it for my legs. I tried with the new one again for underarms and bikini but it irritates those areas a lot too.
However, for the legs, the old one was slightly better. It was slower but the result lasted longer. The new one seems to cut more hairs, resulting in them appearing faster. I changed the older one because the motor has weakened.

It is the first hair removal machine that I have purchased, I have had it for five months. I am very satisfied, I have only found one negative aspect, and that is the noise it makes. Especially during the first uses, it can be quite alarming. Other than that, I cannot say anything negative. The light it has is very helpful for seeing every hair that exists. The pain during the first uses is intense but it is something you get used to. With continued use, you will see that it doesn't hurt as much. I use it on my legs and arms. I no longer feel any pain on my legs. I feel a little pain on my arms. After each use, make sure to apply cream. It still irritates my arms and it takes about an hour for my skin to recover. Additionally, it is very easy to clean. The three different heads are very useful.
