Description

Description

The second Greek edition of her book "Rhythmic Gymnastics" includes updated photographic material with many interventions in the sketches, while the chapter concerning the choreographic structure of the compositions has also been updated. It refers to the five apparatuses of RG (rope, hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon), and its content has been adapted to the new competitive requirements of the sport according to the International Code of Points for the new competitive cycle.

The purpose of the book is to familiarize the reader with the sport through the analysis of specialized techniques of exercises, modern approaches to training management, and specialized types of training for competitions. The first part (chapters 1 to 4) covers the technique of the sport, which includes body movements and handling of the apparatuses. The second part (chapters 5 to 9) analyzes athletic training and includes fitness, training units, training plans, and choreographic-dance preparation. The third part (chapters 10 and 11) refers to RG competitions and provides elements of artistic expression, preparation for competitions, and components of successful performance.

The book contains everything a teacher-coach needs to teach the sport of rhythmic gymnastics correctly and safely. A truly scientific approach in its entirety, useful for both students and physical education teachers. Once you read it, you will realize how spectacular the path to the true exploration of rhythmic gymnastics is. By following the mentioned recipes and creating new ones, you can "tame" and master its elegant yet athletic movements. "It is a real primer useful for coaches."
