Very nice book! Although it has a "dip" at some point, from the middle onwards it keeps you engaged until the end

Description & Specifications

On a stormy night, a boat with a newborn baby seeks refuge on Delos. Artemis, the favorite of the gods, grows up surrounded by love and safety, daring to chase her dreams.

Until a mysterious man with sapphire eyes and a murder on the sacred island force her to fight for her own life. And then everything gets tangled. Bright and dark heroes, dreams and hopes, spies and murderers.

And then the impossible becomes possible. Sunny Delos, cosmopolitan Mykonos, beautiful Rineia, picturesque fishing villages of Cornwall, all in a passionate novel. Like Greece. Full of light and "sunny" people. Because we weave our fate with songs of the soul...

At some point, I couldn’t take it anymore. I let go. And I got lost in space and time… Thunderclaps followed one another without stopping, the lightning blinded me, the thunder made my heart throb. They deafened me. The wind was raging. And then it was when I “saw” the boat. Tied to a small wooden pier, it was rocking wildly on the rough waves. Someone staggered towards the pier, pulled the boat’s rope. Jumped inside. With great difficulty. The waves tossed it up and down, but after a while, he managed to balance. He threw a baby to the bottom. A completely naked newborn baby. With one leap, he was back on the pier. Without hesitation, he untied the boat’s rope. And then, to make sure the baby would become one with the waves and drown immediately, he kicked it hard. His kick was strong. The boat drifted away. He felt beautiful. And then, for the first time in my writing career, I abandoned, willingly or not, the novel that was reaching its end and dived into the first chapter of The Beloved of the Gods! I wrote it instantly. As if I were there, where everything took place, as if I heard the heroes speak to me…

Only when I finished this chapter did the sea and all the elements of nature calm down, and Artemis, my new heroine, was also at peace. Artemis, oh, Artemis immediately took flesh and bones inside me. I chose her to be tall and slender, with long straight brown hair and sky-blue eyes, full of innocence and wisdom alike. I chose her to look like she came straight out of a mythology book, sculpted by an artist with divine talent. The book The Beloved of the Gods is a novel that helped me realize so many things. Lucky people have always been a great mystery to me. People who seem to be loved more by the gods. Many have tried to investigate their luck, to find out what makes them fortunate. Have they inherited some superior powers? Are they the optimists, those who set difficult goals and chase what they want?
