CFR - Cyclonic Flow Rotor

The Cyclonic Flow Rotor (CFR) technology is designed to allow air to pass and move forcefully through the rotor and enables the mechanical parts of the mechanism to dry quickly, significantly reducing the risk of corrosion. The CFR technology also created a lighter and more rigid rotor, reduced deflections, and produces a smoother mechanical operation.

Hydro Block

The Hydro Block design involves a rubber gasket that has been placed at the top of the spool, preventing water and other particles from entering the brakes, ensuring their long-term, smooth operation.

Quick-Set Anti-Reverse

The Quick-Set Anti-Reverse technology prevents the handle from moving, which is achieved by placing a stainless steel bearing that allows the mechanism to move in only one direction.

EFR II - Even Flow Roller System

The Even Flow Roller System, which utilizes a bearing placed under the line distributor. The operation of the bearing ensures that the line is distributed without friction and without twisting, preventing tangles during brake use.

RES II

The RES II system stands for "Second Generation Rotor Equalizing System." The shape and weight of the rotor have been designed with great precision to achieve perfect balance during rotation. Additional weight has been placed on the rotor to prevent even the slightest vertical movement of the spool and to ensure smoothness during winding or casting.

I have it with a telescopic Alivio surf casting max cast 200. I will just say that I brought in a 3.5 kg octopus for fun by sheer luck for how it was caught and with what bait. I've had it for a year and it's worth double what I paid for it. A shotgun...

I put the reel in the gun rack 2 months ago. It has been used for 6 fishing trips. In one of them, I caught a 30-kilogram fish! After a battle of about 20 minutes, with crazy brakes, the beast was exhausted and I brought it in, weighed it, and released it. I believe that no other reel in this series could withstand such fights with continuous brakes. It is the strongest reel I have ever had in my hands for surf casting in the 32 years I have been fishing! Just so you know, for the past 6 years, I have been fishing with Penn spinfisher and slammer reels for heavy casting, and I believe Okuma could stand proudly alongside them. I just ordered a second one.

The machine is literally a beast. It can handle anything. It has a high-quality construction. I'm not sure if the 18kg brakes will ever come in handy, but they're there. The slow oscillation system is the slowest (complete up and down movement of the drum over 35 rotations of the handle). Its bearings are closed type. If I had to find a disadvantage, it would be its increased weight, but since it's for surfcasting, a static fishing method, it's not such a big problem. I highly recommend it. Perhaps the best Okuma reel in its category.

One of the best reels ever produced by Okuma!!!
It has caught fish, literally ANIMALS, and didn't even notice.
It is a beast, since it managed to catch an 11-pound sea bass.
It brings 2 kilos in the air like feathers.
For me, it is the best Okuma reel, as it is very economical compared to much more expensive reels, considering what it offers.
And for the record, it can handle anything, and I have bought 4 reels!

Mechanism that resembles a much more expensive category of motorcycles. It would be worth even more.
