I have had it tied to the boat's roll bar for about a year. After a while, the seams of the strap on one side started to cut. It shouldn't have happened since I only put keys and a wallet inside and it wasn't exposed to the sun where it was placed. Maybe the saltwater damaged it? I don't know. I sewed it by hand and put it back on the boat. The magnet keeps the front cover closed even in the most difficult conditions.
