A laborious effort and years of searching through a multitude of sources - many of which were hidden - have resulted in the collection and classification of the elements of the three volumes of this historical journey, which aims to highlight the significance of the satirical newspaper of Smyrna, 'Kopanos', the national role it played, and the struggles of its multifaceted creator, Georgios Iak. Anastasidis.

This research, both on the Kopanos of Smyrna and on the actions and work of Georgios Anastasidis, will present, like a kaleidoscope, the chronicle of an entire era, with countless information and events that marked the peak and collapse of a significant cradle of Minor Asia Greekness, the renowned Smyrna.

I believe that the reader will be fully compensated by delving into the happenings of Smyrna's life. Moreover, beyond a - interesting in other respects - 'guided tour' in the sociology of Smyrna, what primarily interested me was to highlight Anastasidis through his own texts.
