    I tried it on 2 laptops. And on both laptops, it produced a distorted and hoarse sound. I don't know if you need a super-duper laptop. Also, it was never recognized in the program I use for recording (Reason, the latest version, which has voice recording capabilities). No matter how much I searched, I never found a way for it to be recognized. It's a difficult card for an amateur like myself. I also couldn't figure out how to deal with the noise. Now it's sitting on a shelf collecting dust, and I'm thinking about which one to get next.
    As for the positives, it comes with Cubase.

    One of the best cheap sound cards.. it also gives you Cubase for free.. So far no problems, I've been using it for about a month...

    For one and a half year card. At the output to programs like Cubase, Nuendo, etc., the monitor option produces incomprehensible noise. It went to a technician and nothing was done, it's a processor issue. It was replaced with the same card from a friend to confirm that the problem is indeed with the card.
