I use this tripod almost daily to make video calls from my mobile phone, which has a special base to hold the phone (not a tablet). If you want, you can also attach a computer camera that has a tripod socket. I have also used it for this purpose to capture wider shots for family video calls with more people.
It is incredibly useful because it can be adjusted in height, has a built-in level to ensure straight shots, and is stable.
In terms of construction, it is lightweight aluminum and comes with a carrying case.

Very sturdy, stable, and with a wide range of height. It is easy to use and can withstand heavy weight. Personally, I use it with my mobile phone and camera (Panasonic Lumix FZ82) at extreme angles and it doesn't move (on stable ground). For someone with a low budget who wants something economical to start with, I highly recommend it!
