    The whole construction is fake and creaks a lot every time you wear them (i.e., when you grab them by the headphones to open them for wearing). They won't break, but EVERY time you think that - especially the rotating joints of the headphone with the headrest - they will stay in your hands. Their performance is average but good to very good (for the cost). However, the outrageous thing is that the -plastic- "fabric" of the headphones disintegrated (melted, torn) at the contact with the plastic rim and in the center (sound output hole), which means that pieces of membrane (and maybe foam material) get into your ears. Not completely Chinese, disgusting.

    edit: melted within a year! (with daily but mild office use), SECOND time with the same model (which I initially considered very strange to possibly be a defective piece!!).

    The headphones have excellent sound. Just like all Sony headphones. I had the MDZX310AP for 2 years and they were exceptional. I wish I had bought them again. These ones are much bigger, bulkier, I don't like their large black plastic, and they also put pressure on my head while the previous ones were smaller and didn't put pressure. Also, okay, in terms of sound, these ones are better but the difference is so small.

    You can see in the reviews that they are flawless in terms of bass, sound, volume, etc... but there is an issue with their construction regarding their ear cushions because after 2 years of good use, both of them fell apart because they are made of leatherette and not real leather... (on the ears and on top), it's really a shame because if they didn't have this issue, they would be the best value for money headphones from SONY.

    The headphones have excellent sound. Just like all Sony headphones. I had the MDZX310AP for 2 years and they were exceptional. I wish I had bought them again. These ones are much bigger, bulkier, I don't like their large black plastic, and they also put pressure on my head while the previous ones were smaller and didn't put pressure. Also, okay, in terms of sound, these ones are better but the difference is so small.

    The whole construction is fake and creaks a lot every time you wear them (i.e., when you grab them by the headphones to open them for wearing). They won't break, but EVERY time you think that - especially the rotating joints of the headphone with the headrest - they will stay in your hands. Their performance is average but good to very good (for the cost). However, the outrageous thing is that the -plastic- "fabric" of the headphones disintegrated (melted, torn) at the contact with the plastic rim and in the center (sound output hole), which means that pieces of membrane (and maybe foam material) get into your ears. Not completely Chinese, disgusting.

    edit: melted within a year! (with daily but mild office use), SECOND time with the same model (which I initially considered very strange to possibly be a defective piece!!).

    4 years of daily use.
    Very comfortable for long hours of use, lightweight, and with a soft cushion.
    The only "downside" is the peeling of the covering around the cushion, which started from the first year and recently, one of the cushions partially detached from its base.
    But understandable for 4 years of use! I would buy the same again if I don't find a better alternative
